I disagree. You make it sound like we had a hatful of brilliant chances and that we were wasteful. We weren’t. Aside from Richy’s header there really wasn’t much. We were as bad up top as we were at the back. Too many sideways and backward passes. No bravery on the ball. Everyone looking for the easier pass, almost more scared to give the ball away than to actually create something. Barely a cross to speak of. Just a switch of play, then a cut back, then another switch and then another cut back. If that’s what you describe as miles better then your standards are very low. Awful performance.
West ham had more xg than you to be fair. Pretty football is good, but sometimes you need to mix it up.
Ange has laid an excellent platform. He needs the Arteta treatment. Totally backed by the board and plenty of money to buy what he needs.
We absolutely dominated West Ham in the first half and had them pegged back - I was embarrassed for them, they would just lump it forward to no one. They had one chance with the Paqueta header - which should have been a foul on Davies.
We were wasteful up top and at times too ponderous but the overall performance was good. Our issue is the front line arent clinical enough. Johnson - he is a player that needs space to run into - no point playing him against a low block. Kulu - someone ls got to train him to use his right foot - Robben he ain’t. Son - really poor decision making tonight.
Making Europe is imperative - money needs spending in Jan. a second season out of Europe can easily spiral into more - look at chelsea

"My big concern now is we don’t secure a European spot"
We will.
"I can guarantee you that Arsenal aren’t winning the title despite what they think"
I wouldn't be so sure of that.
Only watched the first half. West ham were pathetic but you didn't exactly pepper their net with great chances. It's like you're missing a goal scorer.
27 points from 15 games is starting to become a problem. As soon as you dip below that 2 points per game average the CL is gone. That’s fine, but we’re now in danger of also not getting Europe altogether - which is a travesty. We probably need 60 points for top 7 and Europe - this run simply has to stop and we need to be at 36 points minimum after that Bournemouth game because our final 6 of the season could easily be 5 losses and a win.
Also, zero excuse not to go all out in the cup now
You created virtually nothing the only real chance was Richarlison missing from about five yards out. Other than the first 25 minutes West Ham put in a good away performance stayed tight and waited for their opportunity which they took.

Well we’re at complete opposites on this, I am supremely confident that Arsenal don’t have what it takes having watched them a couple of times - they have squeaked through games and will get caught out soon - Liverpool will take 6 points off them as well I think.
As for us, I’m not convinced we will get Europe at all, I can’t see where the next win is coming from - next 2 look very difficult to me and Everton I thought was a joke banker but they’ve picked up and Dyche will also deploy a low block. Then it’s Brighton away and then Bournemouth at home - another side that have picked up. Then United away as game 21. By the time game 22 comes round at the end of Jan at home to Brentford we might have our first 11 back, but Brentford are a nightmare to play also.
Very difficult and we have to remain patient as you can see Ange is laying strong foundations - but as all but Devon have said for a long time - this is a poor squad overall with glaring gaps

West Ham created little and got back into the game through a fortuitous deflection - Go and look at the stats, Vicario hadn’t made a single save up to that point.

Long way to go in the top 4 race yet. The other teams will drop unexpected points. Look at what Everton did to Newcastle tonight.
I'm more gutted at the fact that we seem to be no longer alive in any sort of push to challenge for the league. And it's easy now to say we never had a chance, but we did before the injury crisis. We were top of the league and unbeaten. I thought maybe we could still manage to win games like this though to keep us up there by the time the full strength team returned. Shows how the strength in depth is when you scratch at the surface.
I guess it's down to the FA Cup now.
Very worrying now, we have zero rotation options currently, two tough games in a short period of time and we’ve allowed ourselves to slip back into the dogfight for a euro spot.
You wonder how much United and Chelsea will spend in Jan - based on past evidence it will be more than us. You look at Newcastle and wonder if Howe will get the sack before Xmas and they bring in a better manager. You look at Villa and think how far behind them will we be when we finally get our strongest side back

We weren’t in it, because we have 15/16 players. Has any side in the last 30 years ever challenged for a title with just 2 recognisable CB’s of the required standard? This was called out by myself before a ball was kicked this season. We have no cover for Maddison and he was always going to be the heartbeat of the side.
People dismissing the fears of us not qualifying for Europe are clearly forgetting last season where we were a shoe in right up until 3 games to go - it’s much more precarious this time

This season feels more hopeful in spite of the recent form. It's only down to the injuries that we are suffering, whereas last season we were just a mess of a team and played badly most games. More unity in the team this season and better performances. As long as Levy doesn't sit on his hands over January then there's no way we'll finish as badly as last season.
We do have a first team capable of being in a title race IMO with the additional bonus of no European football. We just needed to remain relatively injury free. Leicester managed this when they won the league. Sadly us being Spurs, of course we have a Spursy moment that derails our season.
You’re just really not that good which was glaringly obvious against us and has come to the fore in the last 5 games when you’ve been absolutely atrocious.
You’re missing quality in too many positions.
It’s funny reading things like ‘once this squad is strengthened’
Levy will not give Ange what he needs. We’ve seen countless managers left short. This is it.
Levy sold our greatest premier league player s few days before the season started. All he cares about is the pound. He’s only just got a dof ffs
Ange will just be another manager who couldn’t make things work under Enic
What was it Einstein said the definition of insanity was?
Nothing changes at spurs until everything changes. No trophies under levy. Ever.

West ham had more xg than you to be fair. Pretty football is good, but sometimes you need to mix it up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I disagree, the philosophy is spot on, the issue is some of the personnel aren’t good enough - money needs spending to rectify that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So in other words the philosophy isn't spot on with the players you've got available
Thrre's nothing daniel levy can do about that until january. That's 15 points available to score before Levy can change anything
Davies is done. The way he was outmuscled by Kudus just further demonstrated this opinion. He has been a great servant, but time for a move.
Hjojberg is limited. He definitely doesn’t suit this system. Should be moved on.
Skipp is no where near the levels required. Despite all the heart. For the good of the team and his career, needs moved on.
The most important things for me though, we need another centre back. One of the quality of Romero or Van De Ven. And also a proper striker.
If we add these two players and continue on with faith in Ange’s methods and his system. The results will turn around again imo. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Remember we all screamed for a rebuild. Rebuilds take time. I think most of us just got a bit ahead of ourselves after the rampant start.

Do me a favour
The personnel wasn’t right under mourinho and we got rondon
The personal wasn’t right under Poch and we got no one for two years
The personnel wasn’t right under conte so we got lenglet and spence
Daniel levy will NEVER buy what’s required to win. He will do just enough to amble through and stop protests. His genius is convincing people success is just around the corner , time and time again
Arsenal just dropped 100 million on rice after narrowly missing out on the title. You know why? Because they want to win the title
Levy will never ever do that. He’ll plead poverty whilst raising the highest ticket prices in Europe by twenty percent.
He has convinced some of you that spurs can’t win trophies and somehow that’s ok.
He is a fraud. Until he goes, this club will go no further

1 trophy in 23 years and counting
Can’t wait to tell my grandkids about our net profit

I think Kane would be a good signing for Spurs
