Copy and paste job. Take what you want from it.
Some uncomfortable facts about this season...
2 Losses & 3 draws = 12 points dropped...
That is more points dropped already this season than we had at the same stage in the ill-fated 10IAR attempt in 2020/21 (D4 L1 = 11 points dropped).
This is the same amount of dropped points at the same stage in the disasterous Tony Mowbray 2009/10 (D3 L2).
It's also the same amount of league points dropped as John Barnes had to the same point in 1999/2000 (D0 L4).
And that is not even including the League Cup or European results. This is just the league.
Guess what those 3 seasons all have in common?
Some other fun facts for this season so far...
Celtic were undefeated against all Scottish opposition at home from January 2021... until yesterday.
10 straight wins v Hearts - across all competitions, home, away or neutral... until yesterday.
Hearts had not beaten the Hoops a t Celtic Park since 2015... until yesterday.
First time since 2012/13 since we lost back to back league games when Sevco has not been involved as one.
Have dropped 10 points in the last 9 league games (W4 D3 L2).
Still yet to win 3 consecutive games this season. (across various competitions so long as consecutive)
Since the November International break we've played 7 games - W3 D1 L3 & ZERO clean sheets
Just 3 clean sheets in the past 17 games all comps (12 Lg 5 CL) played. 24 goals conceded in that time.
Purely in the league, that is still then just 3 clean sheets in 12 games.
Not since Tony Mowbray's 2009/10 have we had such a poor run of just 3 clean sheets in 12 League games - and that did include a 1-1 with old R****** - this current 12 league game run has not included a Sevco game. That same 09/10 season Artur Boruc missed quite a bit through injury. BR has had his first choice available bar 1 game.
Here is a chilling stat...
Joe Hart this season has played 17 league games... 13 goals conceded, 7 clean sheets total.
In his Celtic career, Barkas played 16 Premiership games in total... for 8 Clean Sheets with 11 goals conceded.
That is a frightening thought. On that sample size we would be better off with Barkas in a Celtic shirt than Joe Hart this season.
I don't trust a word that comes out of Rodgers' mouth. What I do believe however, is that actions speak louder than words, so it was this that would matter most. Yet even for someone blind like me can see there are big problems and he is not doing a thing to fix it.
Can't just blame transfer window dealings or wait for that to get it sorted. He inherited a treble winning team minus 3 players, had all off-season, coming from a position of strength, so surely it's not unreasonable to expect to get a tune out of what he has at his disposal - even if it were to scrape 1-0's until he had time to get to a transfer window. But no.
Rodgers has been back for a full 6 months and all there is slow and predictable and time and time again he is being out thought and out coached. All too often in-game management has been so poor and appears incapable of reacting to what other teams are doing when they change things up to counteract what we are doing.
That is not necessarily about having all the right options on the bench (although undeniably that helps) but that doen't change the fact that it appears there is zero effort is being made to offset this, even through organization or formation. Rodgers, it seems is a one trick pony and everyone has worked out his one trick.
So is it intentional? Does he care? Is it just that he is incapable or unwilling to adapt? Or is it his way of throwing the toys out of the pram so that the Board will buy him new ones?
Instead of a multiple treble winner it's shaping up more there is in common with Tony Mowbray or John Barnes at this stage. Those 2 guys had some genuine quality players at their disposal and managed to balls it up spectacularly... something of history repeating itself here also with Rodgers.

Ultimately if Celtic really felt the ticket situation was harming the game and they seemed to have argued that, then they should have kept the previous numbers of away fans. Rangers as a club have never stated they are actively doing something to harm the game, they simply decided they wanted more home supporters.
I see empty stands at many SPFL matches and clubs refusing to allow more OF fans in are they harming the game? they are certainly harming their own bottom line.
There are no real rules around away fan allocations beside making a "reasonable number of tickets available" so in this instance Celtic are refusing to do even the bare minimum and are clearly deliberately damaging the game going by Celtic's previous statements.

What an utterly pathetic attempt at a cop out.
“We bawsed the whole thing up, but Celtic should just bend over and do what we want”
Fwck. Like that will ever happen with these two clubs.
Rangers must have thought about and known the potential consequences of their actions and still went ahead, or alternatively they were too thick to work it out. It’s one or the other.
Would love it if we took the moral high ground (ish) and went back on it.
And I’m one of the people that would be moved seat as a result.

Celtic too scared to give us tickets

You mean like Rangers when they stopped Celtic fans filling up the stands at Ibrox?

If only Rangers fans could behave like decent humans and learn not to become drunk before 7:00AM. then things would be different!
