Then he needs his eyes checked!

Rodgers has lots the dressing room imho and there is no way back. The board have to see it and make the easy change. Have no issue if it is Kennedy time because it cannot get any worse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn't mind Kennedy taking over. Like you say, Rodgers has totally lost the dressing room.

It's almost though he is being deliberately obstinate.

BR has made us worse as the results have shown. The Ispswich manager might be the new incumbent 👍

Decent shout.

I always thought the way he carried himself was a true representation of Celtic as a club.

Could do worse right now tbh.

If only that had been a trait shown previously. Anyway, don't worry as Ginger has said previously due to our continued success in Europe, we play Thursday/Sunday so that gives you bhoys a huge advantage

Early days, but Ipswich are in with a decent shout of going up to the Prem this season, so can’t see why their manager would want to leave that for our 2 bob league TBH.

Totally agree Rodgers has lost the dressing room though, if he ever had them onside this time around. Just a confused, disorganised mess. Really don’t see him turning this around. I’d accept Kennedy as caretaker in the meantime. Not happening though. Doubt that either the Board or Rodgers even see there’s a problem.

This board won't have the balls to admit they've made a mistake.. more accurately Lawwell won't because he's an arrogant, smug prick.

So we'll be stuck with this egotistical whank who has already lost the players and has no idea how to get anything out of them, let alone set up an attacking style of football.

Next few months are gonna be grim.

This could have been a post match interview from pretty much any game last season. Poor me. Sad eyes. The players let me down. I can win matches six nil but when we lose, it's the players fault. No anger. No determination to turn it around. 'They let me down. It's not my fault!'

We all saw last season when it starts to go wrong, Rodgers has absolutely no idea how to turn it around. He sticks to the same old pass it sideways, backwards, sideways, sideways, backwards football which is utter whank and boring as fook to watch and that's all he's got now. He'll fall out with your best players soon (if he hasn't already) and refuse to play them for far inferior players, just so he can carry on blaming the players and take no responsibility himself.

He's a proper busted flush.

Wasn’t at the game, so haven’t seen any of it. My son said it’s the most toxic atmosphere he’s ever felt at the football.

I think Rodgers is done-at Celtic and at the level he’s been managing at. There’s players getting a game that should never pull the jersey on again, and as much as that’s not all on his shoulders, one of the signs of a decent coach is that he gets more out of players than you expect. Ange did it with guys like Ralston and Taylor. The only player who’s had any tangible improvement is O’Riley, and even then it’s in fits and starts.

We need a minimum of 4 players that are starters, and that isn’t happening for us in the January window-certainly not of the standard that you’d want.

Rangers will be ahead of us before the end of the year, and that won’t change before the end of the season. Rodgers will more than likely make it to the end of the season, but he won’t be here by the end of next year. Probably gone well before that.

Haven’t read the full thread, but good to see the patter has clearly picked up again.

POV …

I’ve thought Rodgers was done as an “elite” manager a good 12 months or more before he was very belatedly binned by Leicester. He largely got away with that episode media-wise, as the owner Top clearly hadn’t a clue … but the signs were there for all to see, bar Pistol obviously. Busted flush has never been more apt … albeit he was never an elite level manager anyway, next level down at best. He brought a welcome level of professionalism to us first time around (albeit he was up against fook all), but his patter was clearly wearing thin by season 2. He’s done, but we’ll be stuck with him, his excuses, and Brendanbaw for a long time yet.

Copy and paste job. Take what you want from it.

Some uncomfortable facts about this season...

2 Losses & 3 draws = 12 points dropped...

That is more points dropped already this season than we had at the same stage in the ill-fated 10IAR attempt in 2020/21 (D4 L1 = 11 points dropped).

This is the same amount of dropped points at the same stage in the disasterous Tony Mowbray 2009/10 (D3 L2).

It's also the same amount of league points dropped as John Barnes had to the same point in 1999/2000 (D0 L4).

And that is not even including the League Cup or European results. This is just the league.

Guess what those 3 seasons all have in common?

Some other fun facts for this season so far...

Celtic were undefeated against all Scottish opposition at home from January 2021... until yesterday.

10 straight wins v Hearts - across all competitions, home, away or neutral... until yesterday.

Hearts had not beaten the Hoops a t Celtic Park since 2015... until yesterday.

First time since 2012/13 since we lost back to back league games when Sevco has not been involved as one.

Have dropped 10 points in the last 9 league games (W4 D3 L2).

Still yet to win 3 consecutive games this season. (across various competitions so long as consecutive)

Since the November International break we've played 7 games - W3 D1 L3 & ZERO clean sheets

Just 3 clean sheets in the past 17 games all comps (12 Lg 5 CL) played. 24 goals conceded in that time.

Purely in the league, that is still then just 3 clean sheets in 12 games.

Not since Tony Mowbray's 2009/10 have we had such a poor run of just 3 clean sheets in 12 League games - and that did include a 1-1 with old R****** - this current 12 league game run has not included a Sevco game. That same 09/10 season Artur Boruc missed quite a bit through injury. BR has had his first choice available bar 1 game.

Here is a chilling stat...

Joe Hart this season has played 17 league games... 13 goals conceded, 7 clean sheets total.
In his Celtic career, Barkas played 16 Premiership games in total... for 8 Clean Sheets with 11 goals conceded.

That is a frightening thought. On that sample size we would be better off with Barkas in a Celtic shirt than Joe Hart this season.

I don't trust a word that comes out of Rodgers' mouth. What I do believe however, is that actions speak louder than words, so it was this that would matter most. Yet even for someone blind like me can see there are big problems and he is not doing a thing to fix it.

Can't just blame transfer window dealings or wait for that to get it sorted. He inherited a treble winning team minus 3 players, had all off-season, coming from a position of strength, so surely it's not unreasonable to expect to get a tune out of what he has at his disposal - even if it were to scrape 1-0's until he had time to get to a transfer window. But no.

Rodgers has been back for a full 6 months and all there is slow and predictable and time and time again he is being out thought and out coached. All too often in-game management has been so poor and appears incapable of reacting to what other teams are doing when they change things up to counteract what we are doing.

That is not necessarily about having all the right options on the bench (although undeniably that helps) but that doen't change the fact that it appears there is zero effort is being made to offset this, even through organization or formation. Rodgers, it seems is a one trick pony and everyone has worked out his one trick.

So is it intentional? Does he care? Is it just that he is incapable or unwilling to adapt? Or is it his way of throwing the toys out of the pram so that the Board will buy him new ones?

Instead of a multiple treble winner it's shaping up more there is in common with Tony Mowbray or John Barnes at this stage. Those 2 guys had some genuine quality players at their disposal and managed to balls it up spectacularly... something of history repeating itself here also with Rodgers.

I'm sad to say I think this is true.
