Our defenders are making more mistakes this season, especially when we revert to a back 4. Stick to 3 at the back and get those defenders to score a few, to make up for their errors.
And the relevance of that DJ is...
Tell em wolfie, back 4 ain't working for us.
So the situation is that we don’t score enough and we can’t see where the goals are going to come from. And no point in signing a centre forward to help with that problem because centre forwards only score from crosses and our crosses are poor. So the solution seems to be to stick with what we have
Defensively we are making more mistakes particularly when we play four at the back which is a formation we’ve used once in the last 15 games. And the defenders never score
Astonishing we aren’t bottom of the league given there’s nothing positive to say about any part of the team
We've reverted to a back for more than you suggested and sometimes during a match. Maybe the alcohol you and your buddies consume before a match cloud your vision at times and I didn't say CF's only score from crosses. Again, maybe you've started early on the Xmas booze. As for our defenders, I would have expected at least one goal from them thus far, considering we've had 70+ corners and they are making more mistakes this season.
Worth noting that we are actually mid-table for set piece goals this season, whilst Kilman and Dawson are amongst the leaders in the league for aerial duels won.
We'd probably be even higher in the table for set piece goals had Neto not got injured. I think all the goals have come from his set pieces.
Just wish the aerial duels could be converted into goals at the other end.

But you still don't see the point in signing a Forward
Worth noting that we are sixth in the league for headed goals and have two players in the top ten players for headed goals.

If only they feckin counted
Pedro Neto back in full training and will be in the squad on Sunday
There was a bug that affected a few players on the trip to West Ham last week and Lemina, Cunha and Dawson have all missed some training sessions this week but will hopefully all be ok for the weekend
Both Celtic and Rangers have evidently enquired about taking Fabio Silva on loan in January
The only point in buying another CF is if we play a system that suits him. Our only 2 recognized CF's have hardly kicked a ball this season.
Maybe we need to play one of our two recognised CF’s and play a system that suits him?
Just how many drinks does DJ have before the game anyway?
If we play a system that suits a forward player, he may score 8 goals in 17 games.

He wouldn’t even be in wolfie’s starting eleven as he’s clearly not the answer
Always amusing when wolfies bizarre brain unravels.
He can’t see where the goals are coming from. He doesn’t see Hwang as the answer. And we shouldn’t sign another forward. Maybe he’s clear what the way forward is then?
I see our forward line as one suited to a counter attacking style. Counter attacking is not a style that works against teams like Luton, Forest and Sheffield Utd who put plenty of players behind the ball. What we need is a centre forward that can score a few, play back to goal, and give the likes of Cunha someone to play off

There’s an impressive guy playing for Fulham?
Watched a compilation of all Hwang's goals earlier, interesting that the majority went in at ground level. Remember saying a few years back that one of the major faults of our forwards was trying to smash the ball high in to the net and invariably hitting row z instead.
When my lad was playing I used to tell the lads that goals still counted if they went in along the ground. Completely ignored me obviously.
A striker still seems like a key ingredient that is missing to me.
Hwang is not it and fairly clear GON won't be giving Sasa or Fabio much game time. Hard to find one though, that is the problem.

our style did not work against West Ham either who out counter attacked us
Joe Hodge has also now returned to full training. Jose Sa is fit after missing the West Ham game so we now have a fully fit squad

I still think Hwang’s all round game is poor but his goals have been worth their weight in gold to us this season. Credit him for getting into the right place at the right time and for showing great composure when he does get a chance
It’s interesting that Cunha is always looking for him in the penalty area, as he has no confidence in his own finishing ability.
Do we play a system without a traditional striker because that’s what GON wants, or do he just have zero faith in our strikers? Fabio never struck me as an out and out striker and needs someone to play off, but if we brought someone in then Fabio would take Cunha’s place and I just don’t see that happening, so he still wouldn’t start.
As for Sasa, who knows what his role is now
What’s surprised me about Sasa is that he’s a tall guy yet I’ve never seen him dominate in the air. In fact he seems to prefer the ball played in to feet
