Was always a bit surprised that Chiquinho wasn't given more of an opportunity at Wolves. Won't happen now I don't suppose.

Chiquinho did look a good prospect before that horrendous knee injury he suffered 18 months ago. The loan at Stoke came to a premature end and as he's played for them and Familicao this season he wont be able to play for anyone else so good that he seems to be making an impact over there.

I think he would have been given more of a chance without the injury. He was a bit raw though and a bit of a gamble bringing him back in as we didn't know how he'd develop. Unfortunately, his first loan didn't go too well so he needs to impress now.

Just not quite sure about Ings, just get the feeling that it might be a bit of a gamble, 31 and all those injuries behind him, can he still get the scoring habit back at this level now? Perhaps unfair to compare in this way as their ages and recent experience dont really compare but feels a little bit like when we bought Costa in last year.

Antonio picked up an injury in training with West Ham last week, just as he was on the point of returning from another injury that has kept him out since November. Being suggested that they might not want to release Ings right now as they are light on fit strikers

Sad to hear that Franz Beckenbauer has died. Fantastic player who was probably the original player of the sweeper role and ball playing centre back that became adopted by many players in the modern game
