I was impressed, albeit over a short match, with her average etc yesterday. Surely the way to gain experience is to enter and see what it's like - Fallon has shown the way, time to give it a go and see how she progresses

It was a great final yesterday in the men's. MVG showing a bit better form - misses a lot more than the old MVG, but the scoring is starting to come good, and some of the old signs are there with the 160 followed by 106. LH playing with remarkable consistency, still the man to beat

Did a bet which I thought was a crazy price - 10+legs to finish or either dble 8 or dble 16. The price was 20/1!!!! Given this is the fav dble for both these players, I thought it would be 10/1 max.

Came in after about 25 legs or so. I think there was 12 0r 13 in the end.

The big issue is that she would not be allowed to play in the Womens World Championship, and she feels winning that is more worthwhile than a run in the PDC worlds.
I think one of her points is the womens game is played over short formats and she doesn't think she is capable of maintaining a standard across a longer format.

She may change her mind in a few years, as she looks far too good to be limited to the womans tour. A decent showing in the Grand Slam may push her.

I have to admit, I don't follow the female side that closely. Is she current world champion? Maybe a few women's world titles will change her mind and she will enter the men's.

I was struck by her scoring and just 'looked way better' than any female darts player I have seen before. Fallon played well also, but Beau looked very comfortable - I assume she is playing to a higher standard than most women generally?

Just a matter of time it would seem to mix it with the men and see where she stands

Yeah, she won the last 2 WDF Womens World Championships. She is very dominant and takes most titles. Think she holds all the womens majors.

She is doing well in the development tour as well, 8th and she has only played half the events I think. Will be interesting if she does Q School to allow her on the Challenge Tour next year - doubt she would take a tour card though.

In yesterdays Player Championship, Gary Anderson put FIVE ton plus averages in a row on the score board. He had a 9 darter in that run too.
Lost the semi final to Wessel Nijman though, and the youngster beat Stephen Bunting in the final.

Anderson also had a couple of ton+ averages today, but went in the last 16.
Stephen Bunting seems on form, though, as he is in the semi final again. Dobey, Gurney and Gilding also in semi.

Bunting got to the final again today - lost to Luke Humphries.
3 days, 3 lost finals for Bunting... great effort though.

Everybody ready for a bit of Double-In, Double-Out madness?

No long in Dublin, of course, it's new home is Leicester.

Phil Taylor has won this event 11 times, with MvG next with 6 titles.

Brendan Dolan became the "History Maker" when he hit the first 9 darter in Grand Prix history. James Wade (who was his opponent) went on to match that feat alongside Robert Thornton in the very same match.

Luke Humphries won it last time out. This meant 4 different players won the last 4 GPs.

Stephen Bunting was in great form last week, reaching all 3 Player Championship finals. He faces world #1 Luke Humphries in round 1.
Also hitting peak form last week was Gary Anderson. His consistent ton plus averages were a highlight of the week. He meets Michael Smith in another cracker of a first round tie.

Michael van Gerwen plays Daryl Gurney, Luke Littler has Rob Cross while Gerwyn Price faces Danny Noppert.

Some other tasty looking clashes include Gian van Veen vs Ross Smith, Peter Wright vs James Wade and it kicks off with Josh Rock versus Ryan Joyce tonight on Sky Sports.

Mike de Decker

What a tournament 👏

Luke Littler gave MvG a bit of a smashing in Czechia.
6-1, but the stats suggest it wasn't 1 sided as MvG ended with a 112 average. A 16.67% double success (1/6) shows where it was lost.
Luke Humphries meets man of the moment Mike de Decker to see who faces Littler in the second semi.

Kim Huybrechts faces Niels Zonneveld in the first semi.

posted on 20/10/24

That first semi is very important. If Zonneveld wins he qualifies for the European Championships at the expense of van Duijvenbode.
Huybrechts needs to win the whole thing to jump up into the top 32 of the ETOoM.

Up the top end, Littler can grab the #1 seed place if he wins the event. Humphries can jump into second seed if he wins the event, with the draw based on ET OoM position.
