Wise words Real, I like your outlook. I still believe we can go up as champs.
Even with marsh I always hoped something would come good but you have doubts because you just can't get get behind his approach to the game. Sort of the anti Bielsa
Just don't get the point of being a supporter and not having hope

People can see things in which ever direction the want, as far as I saw things, we got a point, ok, we're now behind Ipswich, but we're 1 point nearer Leicester, and as long as we keep an eye on first place thare's no problem to be had!..

There is enough games to be had, and we're good enough to get points from those games!..

We don't have to do a Lowfields to win!..

Southampton lose tomorrow don’t see them finishing in top 2

Ipswich proper kaants - but fair play

posted on 5/3/24

Ipswich will as I see it get at least another 20 points so we need to get 99 or 100 points to have a sniff of finishing above them.

Leicester although they won tonight I can see them still
stuttering but should get another 18 points at least
giving them also 99 points.

Southampton I think will get a decent amount of points from their 11 games so another 23 points but miss out
on the top 2 with 93 points.

Therefore I think we definitely need a 100 points to be guaranteed of automatically getting promoted.

MRU if you read this I apologise to you because I accused you of being too negative about our chances
of finishing above Ipswich but after tonight which is
crazy because we won I'm getting the feeling that we will
have to go through the dreaded playoffs to get promoted this season...That feeling may or may not change in the next few games.

Macca

Personally think that’s harsh. We’ve struggled last 2 games because of 4 games in 9 days. Ipswich relied on a bit of luck for a few games now and Leicester look nervy…

Friday is a huge game. Win that we are in the driving seat and no more silly amount of games in 9 days.

3 points on Friday - don’t care how they come

Dave mate keep it together.

Ipswich a good side, but so are we.

no reason to suggest ipswich not guna slip up within the next 9 or 10 games.

had all this with Leicester, people giving it to them a month or so ago, they will be bricking it.

we've got a great chance, thats not changed all season. lots of points to be won/lost yet.

Yes just forget my knee jerk reaction from last night because I was gutted we weren't sitting in 2nd place after Ipswich's usual comeback and I'm more of the opinion we actually got a very good win last night against opposition who in the 2nd half belied their league position as everyone we face from now on will also raise their game against us so any win is precious and I'm now thinking 96/97 points will be more than enough so 6 wins and a couple of draws from our last 10 games is not too bad and we're well on target to achieve that which I'm hoping is before our final game but if not so be it we'll just have to deal with that potential scenario if and when it happens.

Absolutely Dave - will be many more twists and turns yet.

I'd even go as far as to say its almost a waste of time trying to predict the future results for us, and Ipswich/Leicester Southampton.

look how this thread alone has changed over the course of a few weeks.

keep it together, keep winning points is all that's needed from both team and fans.

we're on an unbeaten run of a million games, only 1 draw in that.. zero reason to panic.

never buy this 'they'll be trying harder against us' either - its not the footballers, its the fans that create this (Huddersfield town fans celebrating because they got a draw against us, zero for themselves, all because they think they may have damaged our promtion chances... I doubt the players even care

No worries Macca, apologies accepted, we just have to keep going, and not lose, and hope the tractor boys fall into some a swamp..!!.We just don't now.

Can't believe we are on a 12 game unbeaten run, won 11, draw one(correct me if I'm wrong) and Ipswich are ahead of us on points(demoralising) - it's relentless as D.F keeps saying. Must say it's the best, and most competitive league in England, if not Europe. Beats the Premiership.

Disappointed to hear DF complain last night about our fixtures congestion. It's no worse than anyone else's. Fatigue is always a factor at this stage of the season and given that we arguably have the strongest squad in the division, a congested run-in surely suits us best – theoretically, at least.

Feel for the guy I heard come from Norway for first time since 2017 🥺…… and all the Preston fans who will have arrived before it got called off.

Life sucks sometimes

Good news for us that game being cancelled.

Southampton next week coash against Leicester also cancelled because of FA cup. Pile the pressure on them if we put points on the board and they are playing catch up

Gives them a rest break though. Guess we'll see which way it goes. Help or hinder?

posted on 6/3/24

Has to be hinder mate.

No spare weekends left until end of season and 1 midweek fixtures already scheduled. If my calculations are right they will be playing weekend-midweek for 3 weeks in April. Tough ask at the end of a season.

Great thing about an LUFC Friday night win is knowing our lads have done their bit. We can just sit back and see how the others get on - pressure back on them.

Leicester look more likely to lose today.
