I cannot believe how unlucky we’ve been with injuries this season
———
Tbf a lot of clubs have suffered a ridiculous amount of injuries this season
United & Newcastle to name just 2

posted on 18/2/24

No club has had as many as us and certainly not for long periods and to players that would start most weeks

posted on 18/2/24

Jota is a fantastic talent but he can’t stay fit.

posted on 18/2/24

That’s simply not true

posted on 18/2/24

it's fine. another fantastic player will get a chance.

watch for the 18 year olds to fill in around gakpo and nunez and diaz and salah.

never.mind young Gordon who's just getting fit.

it'll be fine.

Got Better is not complaining

CFC the better side for me, should be at least 2 up. Can see CFC scoring again, they look pretty good in this game. Interesting for City they have

Grealish
B Silva

Injured and already have KDB, Haaland on the pitch...not sure who they can bring on to change this. When you look at Liverpool missing TEN players to injury and still top of the league; it tells you something about liverpool's squad, I.e...best in the premier league imo.

We’ll have to agree to disagree Brian 👍

How do you know it is a ACL?

posted on 18/2/24

Heard from a few people, don’t think it’s a secret

I’d love more than anything for it not to be true but I thought it when the fella fell on his leg and to then hear it from multiple sources makes me believe that’s what it is

Unbelievable strength in depth u guys have. Diaz, Nunez, jota, salah, gakpo.

Chelssa have obviously had more injuries all season than Liverpool but sadly don’t have that strength in depth. Hopefully nkunku can kick on now. But starting to lose hope on Chukwuemeka (our gem before injury) and fofana (who?).

Positives for us is nkunku and chillwell back, and although still rusty has offered balance but huge still having James out and now silva, Lavia, like fofana, might aswell just be a pipe dream at this stage,

Literally can’t be possible with a fact. Liverpool have 9 players injured. Chelsea Utd and Newcastle have had 11 plus at different times. Chelsea players have missed the most days out injured I believe.

So no, it’s a fact and can’t be disagreed with.

Ive read it could be a PCL injusy. which isnt had bad. but who knows

posted on 18/2/24

Chelsea may have more players out injured but that’s only because they have a squad of 416 players

31 including sarr and 4 keepers compared to pools 27. So 30 to 27. And a lot of those are youngsters who have no pl experience.

PCL most likely

Liverpool have repeatedly shown throughout the season that squad can cope with the crazy amount of injuries. One of the cups has one more game left and then there are only three competitions. Salah is back who is rarely injured and we have cover for every position.

We've had a right back come in and been excellent. We've had Gomez playing left back when both left backs have been out for a long period of time, who has also been excellent, with Robertson now back and getting up to speed. Young Quansah has filled in and did very well but we also now have Gomez at centre back available with Robertson back.

Only concern is midfield, where we can't afford any more injuries. When TAA is back we have the added option with Bradley's form of putting TAA into midfield.

It's a great squad with great cover. Unless it keeps getting worse, I don't see an issue.

Other clubs with as bad or worse injury lists this season and there are several, haven't been able to compete as high up the table as Liverpool have.

which like acl if serious and needs surgery is 6-9 months? best cast is 3-4 weeks grade 2 strain? i doubt its grade 1 a 10 days they way he went off and their fears.

one of the best bits of the season so far is how well players like Quansah, Kelleher, Bradley, Gomez playing 3 roles, Elliott from the bench have stepped up, Jones kicking on etc That and how well a brand new mf and tthe signings have done.

we even lost diaz cos his father got facking kidknapped! such an odd season.

Yep and obviously Salah and Endo to their respective competitions.

Your £905m squad should have enough in the tank.

Posterior cruciate ligament and anterior cruciate ligament are just body parts and surely doesn’t dictate the severity?
