Anyone who thinks going to Old Trafford is an amazing experience either haven't been for 20 years, have never been at all or have been a guest in corporate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing wrong with where I am tbf. The view is great too.
The ground has seen it's best days though. It's time to build the best one in the land again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No-one else was born in the bin outside the Megastore™ like you. So if you are happy with the view, then you do you.
Personally, I will miss the modular lego-type construction, but those rats in the kitchen need to be freed from being drowned by the roof-based water features.
Its important that the new stadium is multi purpose so it can host concerts and other sports like nfl, boxing to bring the money in

No idea why City are extending the stadium again. Struggling to sell out home games all the time right now despite advertising they are sold out. 😂
Last night there were lots of empty seats along the
bottom tiers of the ground.
Once the punishment is handed out and Pep walks away all these southern plastics will suddenly remember they were Chelsea/Arsenal fans afterall.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You know exactly why, we’ve followed your model and they are selling out even if some seats aren’t taken up. Extending it makes complete sense.
Where I was sat last night wasn’t somewhere I normally go and it was exactly the same experience as I used to have at OT a lot of times too. Didn’t like it one bit.

R.Madrid have added a roof to theirs.
What they have done is amazing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZZs6BxLYHM
Cost about 1.4bn euros. (£1.25bn)
If I owned United I would build a new mega ground in London and play my home games there. More money, more fans - it would help them compete again.
United outgrew Manchester a long time ago
Old Trafford is an all round better ground than all bar THS in the prem, Anfield comes close but capacity shades it for OT.
The roof has leaked a few times in the last decade yet the usual United hyperbole makes some believe it’s a regular occurrence.
Anfield had leaky roof problems, the press made out it was a result of “ the rocking atmosphere “ 🤦🏻♂️
I think you need to read more in to what he is saying. No one can afford to build a new stadium anymore without taking on debt. Tottenham's stadium is the new benchmark but they got lucky by taking advantage of the historically low interest rates and fixing the debt for a long time. That option has now gone and will likely never be seen again. The £1b mentioned for a refurb of OT is probably correct, but they can phase it over a long time similar to what Liverpool have done I guess. That feels far more realistic for you guys.

Additionally, they won’t be getting the NFL, Boxing, Rugby or big concerts to offset those costs. There is a reason all the things Jim mentioned are built in the south, specifically London - it’s a world destination with facilities to match
Not a great deal of interest for NFL up here but there is for boxing and both codes of rugby are popular.

Also Spurs added 26k seats, a load more corporate and the staring from scratch allowed them to gear the stadium for delivering food and drink for hours before and after kick off.
These add massive revenues that far exceed the cost of delivering the stadium.
Unless United increase their revenue streams massively from refurbing their stadium, £1bn to £1.5bn of investment will never bee returned.
If United did rebuild, where could they play during construction? (minimum 2 years)
Not in Liverpool. Not at City. Not at Leeds. Sheffield? Stoke?
They could add a Cheese Room

If its anything like N London, then Arseanl and Spurs never play home at the same time.
I'd guess, but dont know that LFC and EFC do the same.
You couldnt have United at home (@ Goodison) while LFC play at home. Could you have EFC @ home and Utd @ home at the same time?
Would you want disgruntled or joyous manc marching through the steets of Liverpool after a game? Asking for trouble?
Logistically tricky.
No chance of them playing at the Etihad so it could be Villa Park.
Three point lane is best ground in London, for all away sides
