On the alternative side though…
… didn’t Forest retrieve possession and then lose it again before Liverpool scored?
They can’t moan if that’s the case.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If they should have had the ball then they have a case, even though they had time to defend the goal, the could have been on the attack instead of defending.
I'm not sure if he gave it for the head injury or the foul, however if it was the former then it was incorrect as the Firest player came bombing in studs first at head height. Either way I think the result was correct, Liverpool got possession of the ball.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s just your opinion though.
The drop ball error / non error is a point of fact.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's something I haven't read up on so I'll take your word for it but yeah if that's the case then the foul is my opinion and the drop ball 'error' is a point of fact.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I should add, I’ve no idea who’s right or wrong on the drop ball point.
It sounds like Tierney made a mistake if thats the case he made it first at the cost of liverpool when yates went down from Elliotts shot hitting him in the head play resumed with forest keeper given the ball... so we win Tierney hates Liverpool more. funny how bbc didnt mention that.
But in all seriousness holy fack how bad is Tierney if he doesnt know the rules lol, thank fack it didnt cost us this time and infact we benefitted from one of his clangers/dodgey calls for once.
“The ball is dropped for the defending team goalkeeper in their penalty area if, when play was stopped:
*the ball was in the penalty area or
*the last touch of the ball was in the penalty area
In all other cases, the referee drops the ball for one player of the team that last touched the ball at the position where it last touched a player, an outside agent or, as outlined in Law 9.1, a match official
All other players (of both teams) must remain at least 4 m (4.5 yds) from the ball until it is in play
The ball is in play when it touches the ground.”
Looking at above it's a bit strange. So if the referee stops it when the head 'injury' occurs, it's Liverpool's ball but if he waits until Forest obtain possession, it's their ball?
I read that you had won all 4 games Tierney refereed for you this season.
Some bias.
Also I'll remind everyone that Forest are paying Clatenburg.
Clattenberg is comedy.
‘They wouldn’t let me into see them’
As if he didn’t know that’s the rules ffs.
He’s trying to make some sort of weird PR campaign around hard done by Forest, and most people are just laughing at him.

That doesn't show or not show bias. You can win games when decisions go against you and lose game decisions go for you.
I know people won't accept it but I try my best to give my opinions on decisions whether for Liverpool or against and have stated several times this season when we've got one we shouldn't have. For example the Jota penalty against Newcastle when he threw himself to the floor when he could have just scored but nobody is going to convince me Tierney does not at least give opposition to Liverpool the benefit of the doubt, throughout his time refereeing Liverpool games.

The game should have restarted with Forest possesion and an uncontested dropped ball in the same spot.

but its a bit of a grey area still imo, a ref is allowed time to make a decision and see play unfold. so it only matters when he stops play even though hes well in his right to bring play back for other reasons why isnt he allowed to bring play back to where the head injury happened which was in the box?

what i will say again in tierneys defence attleast this time he was consistent in his decision even if it was against the rules and wrong. As im pretty sure he did it first to us when as i said Elliott shot hit a forest players head and he went down he gave the ball back to the forest keeper to play on from there.

what i will say again in tierneys defence attleast this time he was consistent in his decision even if it was against the rules and wrong. As im pretty sure he did it first to us when as i said Elliott shot hit a forest players head and he went down he gave the ball back to the forest keeper to play on from there.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Forest had the ball out on the wing when the Liverpool players told the ref that Konate was down and that's when he blew the whistle.
The game should have restarted with Forest possesion and an uncontested dropped ball in the same spot.
Those are the rules.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The rules are also if a player goes flying in with studs showing at head height it's a foul.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Konate was clattered by your goalkeeper, there wasn't a Forest player near him, that was just after a Forest player was dragged to the ground by one of your defenders.

That ‘great detail’ has been pulled apart and shown to be utter nonsense. Just the ramblings of a biased fan.
You lost a few games in a bad run with him as referee and there are a few decisions you disagree with.
That’s it.
