Yes please

It is even less great reading if you are a United fan.

If they choose Southgate that will be a very early and very prominent stain on their stewardship of Manchester United.

CL qualification has often been a non-negotiable condition but Jim and his crew might feel differently.

Only time will tell

If it is Southgate, then how many English players will he sign and how many that are at United would he sell?

I think this story came from Mark Ogden, so I’d take it with an ocean of salt.

I know but its an international week

If he wins the Euros this could be a thing.

It would be the happiest summer of my life I reckon.

It’ll be interesting to see what Southgate does next. If we win the Euros I wouldn’t be surprised if he extends and gives it one last shot at the world cup. Hard to know what he’d be like as a club manager. He’s a good international manager, but it’s quite different to club football, and the job he did with Boro 15 years ago doesn’t tell us how suitable he is to manage in the premier league now.

I want to give ETH another season barring a catastrophe.
I don't think Southgate or Tuchel are right for us.

this would be hilarious

It’s all a ruse, he’s actually replacing Klopp

Good appointment tbf

He's done a good job with international football but club football and the day to day nature of it is just completely different.

United fans I'd say are overwhelmingly against the idea and I think Jim and his team will be aware.

I don't think ETH is the right guy for us but Southgate definitely isn't. I'd sooner stick with what we have than go there.

You say that but I said ETH was definitely the man for us two years ago mate. Shows what we know as fans. ๐Ÿ˜

I don't want Southgate though. Too pragmatic.

I still think ETH could turn it around. Very often things have to get worse before they can get better.

Gareth will bring us back the good times you have my word.

Genuinely, appointing Safegate would be absolutely galling. For one thing he'd have to adapt to a draw not being rewarded with a penalty shootout. How would he possibly adapt?!

There’s more chance of Pep or Klopp managing us next season than Southgate.

So you think that is an excuse to go around scaring the sh!t out of fellow United fans.

At least it's something we can all get behind and unite together for a change. Nobody wants him.

Jim will be signing his own death warrant if he goes here. Southgate winning the Euros would be too late in the day as well. The decision whether he comes in would need to be made well before the final you'd think so it's incredibly risky too as we could easily crash out against France / Portugal / Germany etc.
