Haven't seen a whole lot of him but from what I have seen I think he's a bit of an all rounder who can play anywhere in midfield. Personally I think he's going to be more of an asset further forward as he gets older with his dribbling ability, if he can work on scoring more goals. Definitely looks a talent, that's for sure.
Although I'd need to see more of him.
I agree with TOOR, can't make a real judgement until I see him in some short shorts
Love his confidence on the ball and his defensive work is tip top.
So glad we didn't spend £80m on De Jong.
I missed out “passes like Xav… I mean Scholes”
Yet to see him hitting many Scholesy pinpoint 50 yarders

I don’t expect to either. Players like Scholes come along once in a lifetime.
Let’s just appreciate him for him and stop all these comparisons.

Can’t remember Scholes popping them at 18, considering he was playing up front; but we can only hope.

I think Mainoo’s best position would be 1 of the 8’s in a 4-3-3

This. I don’t think he has that in his locker, but it doesn’t matter anyway as he brings other qualities

Best ball playing midfielder post SAF imo.
Pogba has something to say about that I reckon.
But he does look quality.

Pogba was incredibly talented and best long range passer since Scholes but not as press resistant as Kobbie.
Agreed. Hence the title.
Although I remember once comparing a young Lingard with Iniesta. We were Euro and Prem Champs at the time.

Kobbie is already levels above anything we’ve seen from Lingard.

Lol what ?
The problem isn't where does Kobbie play, it's who can we get alongside him? McTominay is good back-up but not as a first choice, Cas and Erik past it. Someone like Palhinha could be good.
