Volleyball player getting permanently injured by a trans man, but some of you guys say it's nothing to worry about.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYS32TuDFuA
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Couldn't that example literally happen in any volleyball game though, whether it's all women or all men?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No because on average a woman's hit of the volley ball isn't as strong or as fast as a man's one so she would likely have been able to defend against it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That doesn't seem like a gender issue in that video to me. Woman can hit that ball just as hard sometimes. Just unfortunate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No way as fast, things like jump height, aggression etc contribute to how fast they hit the volleyball

How would everyone feel about mixed doubles in tennis? The men hit it so much harder than the women so there would be a lot of potential for injury?

Anyway, the volleyball example is nonsense. Loads of mixed volleyball teams, mixed doubles at tennis, with real men with real cooocks involved and all is fine.

yeah Id imagine you more comfortable playing against the women, all makes a bit more sense now... boys play a bit rough for you mate?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ooh. Tough guy. You lost this one. Learn from it.

It'd be laughed out the office at the mere suggestion.

I'm not anti fat people. I am just concerned about the impact they have in sports due to the size difference and potential for injury. I assumed you'd be with me on this given that you are using the same logic for trans people in sport?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not only do we need to get rid of separate mens and women's categories, we also need to get rid of separate weight classes in sports too. Not good for the fat kids to be isolated into individual groups where they can't take part with the rest either.

Separate categories are killing sports. Equality is key.

But we're not talking about a fully grown unit of a man who's at the peak of the sport here though. It was a high school volleyball game containing teenagers where the trans athlete in question looks the same size as the other players.

Will she have more power? Likely, but then where do you draw the line when it comes to power of a spiking a ball?

There will likely be a decent chunk of natural born females out there who can match the trans athlete's power.

There are loads of mixed volleyball teams at that level folks. Men and women playing in the same teams. Are we saying that needs to be banned?

Would anyone watch mixed races? I know we have seen it before, but it then all comes down to the age old question that I posed on here: Is it better to have a white dad and a black mum, or a black dad and a white mum?

Alternatively we could just have height and weight divisions for all sport, not just MMA. That way no-one would ever get injured because they’re the same height and weight.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, would be better to divide by height and weight categories, no gender involved (it's not a real thing anyway)

Though the simplest thing would be to have no categories at all, everyone can compete, no issues over equal pay for prize winners

Don't worry I'm sure regular men won't dominate most of the women or anything

I made this point on another article, with Bellingham as an example. Mainly cos of the motivation of getting with someone to perform reproductive activities. I don't imagine many black women choose to sleep with a white guy based on peenis size, can you confirm?

Is there a sport where woman would be expected to be better than men? Gymnastics I guess but is that a sport?

Obviously not a "real" sport if women are better.

I forget weightlifting is the only 'sport' out there. But please continue to inform me how you could easily become elite at weightlifting after years of dedication + then a change into trans including all the supplemental hormonal requirements required to transition. While you continue to be unable to catch your victims.

Obviously this discucssion is a bit too based in facts of human biology for you, like the idea that mens biology gives them a huge competitive advantage over women at sports via strength capabilities. Clearly you can't extrapolate this from the weightlifting example I gave you.

Haven't you got a JK Rowling to flame somewhere?

Extrapolate is a big word for you, I'd maybe google 'strawman' too while you are at it.

Haven't you got a 10 year old to touch somewhere?
