Agreed, but nowhere near as bad as what City have done. In any case, it hasn't happened yet and I don't expect it to happen. If United get a tax payer funded stadium then we want our done or redeveloped too.

All charges aside I admire City for
Having the best manager
A great team
Not spending outrageous sums on individual players.
The epitome of a well run club.
Although I'm pretty sure some rules were broken to get where they are.
I don't feel any anger towards them, but I do feel envy.

Perhaps the most stupid thing you've ever posted on this forum. You can't even be drunk this early.
Old Trafford and Man Utd are a great British institution. We should be given protected status like a national park. The Big Ben refurbishment was funded by the tax payer and Man Utd and Old Trafford are arguably more important in terms of heritage than that. The UK public owes United for what we have done for football in this country.
I think a lot of shackles came off when they signed Grealish for 100m in 2021. A proper 'gloves are now coming off' moment for the authorities. No way could they spend that type of money after 18 months of losses and no fans in stadiums.
They must be stripped of all titles.

That was the ‘we know you know, but we don’t care’ moment but too many feathers got ruffled
What lessons could be learnt during City's post mortem? I think the first thing to ask is would fans of another club be happy with just over a decade of success, but their club dies at the end of it? It may be a tempting model to keep following for short term success. We've seen it with Chelsea and now Newcastle. Better regulation is needed to avoid other clubs going out of existence like City, in search of short term success.

He makes some extremely valid points, as always!
Just on a point raised earlier, when someone mentioned HMRC getting involved in this fraud...
Could there be another forced sale like when RA had to flog Chelsea??
If City's owners have screwed our government out of millions and millions then I can certainly see something like that happening. Hit with sanction after sanction until they sell up.

You don't want this to become a government to government issue. If that happens City will be cleared of all charges with the quickness. Govt to govt deals are you scratch m back I scratch yours. No way UK govt will risk souring relations with UAE over this IMO.
