Whatever happens, we can't just make a few changes this summer. It really does need ripped up. I've said for years that there's a culture in that dressing room of doing the bare minimum. Making a few changes here and there will not change that culture and we will continue to see insipid, lazy performances like tonight
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn't work like that it takes time rip up the status quo. You can't just do it in one summer. You've got to accept the pain for the next couple of years and trust those put in place know what they are doing. That's how it worked with us there is no shortcut.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It will take longer than one summer but making three or four changes per year is well below the minimum we need. Bad habits will just be passed on in that situation as the collective standard is too low and it's imbedded in that dressing room

Maybe but the case study for changing pretty much your entire playing staff in six months has been proven not to work you just need to look at Chelsea that has been an absolute disaster. Maybe you might be different but If you get it wrong you could be staring down the barrel of a similar situation to Chelsea.
Chelsea’s issue is more than just how many they changed, though. They replaced their players with worse ones.
Should have gotten rid of him at Christmas when we still had a chance and someone had enough games to get a result.

Possibly.
I am hoping he turns into the Emery of Villa, so to speak, before the club bosses pull the plug on him. I like to think Jim knows more about football than the Glazers and he'll show a little more patience even though he's very much in a hurry to fix everything at the club.

We should but because the takeover was in limbo and nobody was in place it made it practically impossible so I can see why he stayed.
This season has to be it though. He ain't good enough.

And nothing would have changed because we have too many on princely salaries, on easy street with very little expectations. Standards are low from top down, that's why we are seeing utter tripe on the pitch.
A managerial change alone will serve as a placebo effect on fans who are easily pleased initially, you'd see a new manager bounce then the eventual fall from grace. Then those same fans would be quick to turn on the manager! It happens far too often to ignore.
Let's wait and see what changes Jim has in store, let's get the DoF and see what his plans are. If Eth is part of his plans then nothing you say about change will matter, Eth would be here to stay. If Eth is part of the problem then we'll see a change in the summer.

Just pulled that list out of his backside.
Fails to acknowledge all of those are operating within an template that works for each respective club. Clubs with established structures that includes a far reaching scouting network, a tried and trusted recruitment policy with a top DoF. All operate within an organisation that are selling players. They find potential and sell them on for profit.
Utd are a different beast. We don't have a structure for a coach to operate in, yet. Even when the likes of SE85 sees that he is quick to flip flop into thinking that a managerial change would fix all the ills, particularly the playing side miraculously. The squad has been expensively assembled, with very little balance or suitability but more on the fact they were available and we were too quick and stupid to part with millions. Part with millions alone does not mean those transfers were a success, far from it, most have been a disaster. We are too quick to reward mediocrity, the legacy of the Ed Woodward and Arnold / Murtough era!

We've conceded the most shots in 2024 out of all 20 PL clubs.
3 months of conceding 20+ shots a game. Never happened under Ole. In fact it didn't come close to that.
This isn't progress or anything close to it. I'd genuinely rather have Ole back than carry on with this guy even though I know in my heart of hearts Ole isn't the answer either. That's how bad we are.
