Squeaky bum time at the City Ground )
Possibly the most embarrassing Tweet of all time from NFFC:
"Three extremely poor decisions - three penalties not given - which we simply cannot accept.
We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times.
NFFC will now consider its options."
"Consider its options" Reminds me of when Artoo used to say that his legal team were "gath'rin' evidence" about Nigel Clough's horrific assault on him during Kneegate.
Forest are a laughing stock with a fat clown for an owner.
Derby County striker Dajaune Brown has been robbed of the chance to win promotion with Gateshead after the club failed to meet the Football League's entry criteria.

Let's hope the FA deduct them 10 points for being complete tw@ts
There is clear implication in this statement that Marinakis is accusing the PGMOL of cheating, which constitues bringing the game into disrepute. He can expect a decent fine at least. Absolutely classless.
How many teams have an ex Prem ref on their staff? And why do they need one?
Anyone at Forest remember how they achieved promotion? One rule for them I suppose. When you see what has happened to their opponents at Wembley they should feel deliriously happy to be where they are.
I think just the one that has a ref on the payroll. They need one to intimate to the officials that someone will be marking their homework and they hope that might work slightly to their advantage. Also that Clattenburg might have some insights into how any particular ref might be "influenced". Forest are quite comical in thier theatrics and in surrounding the ref. Probably Clattenburg tells them which refs might be more intimidated by that than others.

Interesting that Warney in his post match interview said that they'd practiced playing on a bone hard pitch all week. Reminds me of how they used to say the baseball ground pitch was worth a goals start.
Although this season isn't over it does seem inconceivable that we won't get a positive result on Saturday... that said I seem to recall Carlisle stuck 3 past Posh recently...so can't be taken as a foregone conclusion.
So assuming we get the result everyone is hoping for then my thoughts go towards players for next season. I think this aspect needs a topic of its own... but interesting to wonder who will be able to step up...and who won't...
I know we took a straw poll on POTY and YPOTY but for me Cash for both. He gets my nod because (a) He's been consistently good (b) He showed his loyalty to DCFC when he could well have done a Birdy and forced a move.
So yesterday... who cares... that one is now history. It was a game of 2 halves and the one bit of quality won the game.
Just a special mention for Warney and his team. I was always confident that he'd come through - even if at times it seemed we were wobbling. Can he do it a Championship level ??? For me, yes.... Cheers. Terry in Spain. UTR

Sadly, I think not. Lutons wheels came off on Saturday I fear.
Burnley are still due to play Forest, win and they can leapfrog those VAR cry babies.
Speaking of VAR not looking forward to it's introduction into the lower leagues. Best left alone in o e division, why spoil more???

As long as they win 8-0
Fergie jr accepting defeat in autos and has said he's considering fielding a weakened side for midweek game so that they're ready for Bolton game.
Sir Alex style kidology?
So, it would work for both Bolton and Peterborough to stay where they are and P'boro take a 6-0 defeat from Bolton in the hope that Carlisle beat us 1-0?????
Not sure what Darren Ferguson is thinking or suggesting. You aim to win remaining games and wait to see what happens in the games that dictate your fate.
Bolton Vs Posh will make for a cracking match if both teams require a plus 4 win margin.

Fergie is right on that. We would have to lose big or them to win big to have any chance. Bolton have a slightly better chance but I still think we can lose and go up as neither Bolton or Posh will manage to accrue 89 points.
That said the semi final on Sunday reminded me of the Scunthorpe league cup game in 2012. 3 0 at half time, 4 1 after an hour, 5 3 after 89 minutes and we still managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Possibly the lowest moment of Clough juniors tenancy in the managers chair.
Peterborough have no chance of overhauling us. They also know that it would take something close to a miracle for Bolton to do it. There is a fair chance that these two will meet in the play-off final so neither will particularly want to get stuffed by the other. Nor will they want their players not to have played for a couple of weeks. I would think both will field strong sides in those games in preparation for play-offs but maybe make a few early subs in the second half. Hopefully it will be a flat game mainly consisting of playrrs avoiding injury.

It both makes sense and doesn't. For Peterborough theres a better opportunity of reducing the deficit over two games and hoping for an unlikely result.
Flip of course as manger is to manage the players expectations and not build them up for a fall. Instead apply their energies on the PO.
Id personally go for the former option try and batter the midweek opposition and then attempt to get the result against Bolton and wait and see what happens.
Imagine giving up when there's still a slim opportunity.
I should also add as it's our club in second I welcome Fergie giving up on the automatic dream.
