Not in the part of Derbyshire where I'm from (near Hartington). They just knocked down the dry stone walls in the cain hope of chasing a lone hare.

But I wouldn't dress up and ride a horse to do it. Or knock down any walls in the process. đ
Correct, Flagg Races were always Easter Tuesday.
I believe Sheffield area always had Monday and Tuesday off at Easter in lieu of Good Friday, heathens that they are.

I believe the 100th comment on this potentially historic thread is yours young Scouse
"Young" says he who was born in the same year!
I think it is a state of mind. Froody if you like.......
Bit or research brings up 2010 being the last running of Flagg Races, 2011 event was cancelled due to dry ground and 2012 by snow, which seems to have been the last straw.
Shotguns are useless for deer. They're inaccurate past about 40 yards for deer, and you'll never get that close. Igors right - skilled marksmen is the best way. But they are very expensive. Deer stalking by people paying is another option. That's for the very rich!
The problem we have is that we have no natural predators for deer or foxes. We killed off the wolves and bears. With no natural predators, the population of both has to be controlled or it will cause increasing damage to the countryside and agricultural areas.

It's interesting what you read on the different platforms about our beloved club. Go on to Twitter and the anxiety levels will certainly spike but if you come here there's a calmness (until Spart attempts to rock the boat) with conversations about birds, what the OAPs are going to be wearing tomorrow, references to the Tall, Ticketless one from East Anglia.
Speaking of which, View got his richly deserved compliments for the MT but Ang deserves a lot too for being the 'eyes' and 'ears' for the fans unable to hear the commentary or see the game on Rams TV.
Cheers for the 'regular' updates on match day and the beautiful sight of
