'Again personal preferences...'
-------------------------------------------------
Which pretty much defines the role of any manager, at any football club.
He weighs up the situation at hand, decides what he would like to change, and then makes that decision based on his own personal preference.
ie, being a manger.
Who's preference should he be taking notice of ?
The man six rows back in the main stand, the physio, the kit man ?

Raul Meireles was subbed 20 times in 41 starts. The majority of those subs being made in games under Dalglish.

Personal preference's for players with lesser ability are not good.

Hardly surprising as Dalglish would always sub Meireles whatever the scoreline. Again personal preferences...
===============================
Haha what a poor attempt. False assumptions again.
Have you ever played the game? If you have you'd probably know everyone doesn't have the same fitness level.
Usually around 60 minutes Meireles looks as if he couldn't last another second.

It's to do with health and fitness, not this so called "personal preference".

Are you the fitness coach at Liverpool?
No.

Then that is an assumption.

He doesn't always start at Chelsea as well, is it personal preference as well?

In your opinion.
You are a poster on a football forum site called Sir Alfredo, Kenny Dalglish on the other hand was one of the finest players ever to grace english and world football, a multiple european champion, and league championship winner, not only as a player, but also as a manager.
I think he might just edge it, as regards footballing credibility, and the ability to weigh up what is best for a professional football team.

Anfield Rap

I never once mentioned minutes on pitch. I said that Dalglish would always sub Meireles.

Chelsea have a better squad than you.

And Dalglish can be as good as he wants. Doesn't stop him making mistakes.

Are the manager?
So yours is even more false as well.

Your personal preference comment has no base as there's nothing as such in football.

At least fitness level in football is something that someone can claim.

Well no his performances probably weren't groundbreaking. But neither were the teams performances or you wouldn't have finished 6th.

posted on 10/10/11

We're talking of midfield, not the whole squad.
Our midfield last season had more depth.

posted on 10/10/11

Yes, my personal preference's opinion can never be proven. But it doesn't mean its inaccurate.

posted on 10/10/11

Finishing 6th was more to do with Roy Hodgson.

And why are you trying to change subject now?

posted on 10/10/11

But Meireles didn't play for Chelsea last season.
So how do you know he wouldn't have started for them then.

posted on 10/10/11

Not changing subject. A poster said that Meireles wasn't great, I replied by saying that was the case for the whole team.

posted on 10/10/11

It is totally inaccurate and ridiculous as there's nothing as such in football.

Taking off player in matches is due to personal preference??

Once again, you seem to be mixing up opinion with fact.
The season is 7 games old.
Whatever mistakes have, or have not been made will become apparent in around 6 months.
See you then.

And Meireles doesn't play for Liverpool either

"A poster said that Meireles wasn't great, I replied by saying that was the case for the whole team."

It's his opinion, so people are not meant to have opinions?
He was good but not great.

posted on 10/10/11

I don't think Dalglish had a great belief in Meireles. He preferred lesser players such as Spearing.

Anfield Rap.

Depends on your definition of ground breaking. Messi he wasn't. But he was above average in your team.
