Hello Boris, hadn't seen you around in a while.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m in Thailand, I only come on here when I’m waiting for food
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Funny coincidence, that. You're in Thailand, I'm in Winonpenaltiesland.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thought you were going to say Winstonland there for a second. Was going to say hi to fields if you do, he spends a lot of time there

Hope you're enjoying yourself. What part of Thailand?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now in Ao Nang after 5 days in Malaysia and 2 days in Brunei.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stayed in Noppharat Thara many years ago. Loved the area. Did a couple of great kayaking trips, dunno if that's your thing, but the scenery just breathtaking.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually in Noppharat now, got to go up the coast atm if you want to swim etc because of jellyfish. It is stunning, may come again and stay on one of the outlying islands
Winstonland, by TS Eliot.
Jellyfish are stunning too.
They still have that unassuming beachside marketplace at Noppharat? They'd recently opened a place there called After Tsunami (!) and I still remember the crab curry we had there as one of the tastiest dishes I've ever eaten.

Nonsense. Anyone could spend €1.42 billion pounds, the most ever spent on a squad, and win the treble. It doesn't matter who the manager is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
BTW it was us that spent €1.42 billion on the record breaking squad. Just thought I'd explain the wum.
The prems reputation is already damaged. Most of the world knows it is built on bullshat and dodgy money.

Yes but we like to pretend it’s not
OP,
On the contrary. If City are punished, that would enhance the reputation of the Premier league as a league where corruption doesn’t pay off.
Reputations are worth nothing nowadays. There's that.
I haven’t read the comments in this thread but I’m pretty sure the reason this is taking so long is because the PL don’t want to find City guilty. Finding City guilty automatically tarnishes the reputation of the PL. It’s already become a bit of a joke with the Everton/Forest point reductions, I reckon this is only the beginning and plenty more clubs will face similar sanctions next season (all before anything happens to City).

I agree. I suspect that City will get off with through some technicality and get a small fine for something or other.

That makes absolutely no sense. The PL have no choice in whether City are found guilty or not. If they didn’t want there to be a possibility of them being found guilty they wouldn’t have charged them in the first place.
It can be argued they might have been forced or cornered into charging City with all this independent regulator business?

Non of the charges relate to corruption so that argument is straight out of the window
Mamba, outline the corruption charges for us please 👍
Of the 115 charges, those that would IMO fall within the dictionary definition of the word corruption are as follows
1.Failure to provide accurate financial reports for player and manager compensation x14
2.Breaches of Premier League profitability and sustainability regulations x7
There you go my saan.
