Ange calling out the board

Will they listen though…..

Also saying players are not good enough especially for his system without naming them. Pretty much what we already knew anyway.

Sure some players will get the hump and down tools until the end of the season or could work the opposite too.

What’s more worrying is when managers make comments like this right or wrong and usually on the money it the beginning of the end for them………………..will the board now back him or are on the start of another bumpy road

Exactly right Jimmy, comments like this mean it's usually the beginning of the end...I think he's under too much pressure. Too many unrealistic expectations after a strong start sadly.

Blimey are we at that point already?!

We’ve had this with every manager since Poch!

🔴⚠️ MUFC have added Postecoglou to the 3 man short list for replacing Ten Hag.

He joins current favorite Southgate and Potter. Ange is said to be keen on the move, becoming disillusioned with the Tottenham hierarchy. Southgate is viewed as preferred but does not want to leave the England set up.

I'd give him time and backing but is Levy going to if we finish the season in relegation form and the manager is getting stroppy in post match interviews, calling out the board, berating players on the touchline etc.? The worry is that he has spent a lot of money already to get the team closer to how he wants it to look and we've finished the season looking further away from it than before.

I know it's probably bollox but Southgate, Potter and Ange as United's 3 favourites?

3 managers who will have been on downward trajectories before coming. Not exactly the sign of ambition is it?

There’s talk of Richarlison being one of the players, that may be sold…. What a load of rubbish… we need to keep Richarlison & add another CF…

Nine of this Son can play main striker… HE CANT!!

Royal, Davies, Skipp, Gill, Holbjerg, Werner just aren’t good enough, to even be squad/ Europa League/ Cup players…

We have to bring in better than we’ve got, to improve the squad!

Just wonder how they’ll play for him now after hearing his comments (those who think he might have been talking about them! )

As long as we lose to City then it's all good.

Including Poch and before Poch too? Surely that should be an indication of where the blame lies, rather than becoming toxic on every manager that isn't Poch within a ridiculous time frame?

To be fair, I think quite a few of the Spurs squad aren’t good enough to play ANY system, being brutally honest.

absolutely bullshti.
this squad's had more spent on it than Elizabeth Taylor.
The problem is they can't pick a decent manager.
Fak off Ange, and take your cough and your inflexible attitude with you

It hasn’t been spent particularly well though. Top 3, plus Man U, Newcastle and Chelsea all have better squads IMO.

There's been some super buys the last few years, plus others players who we've seen have the quality but Ange isn't get it out of them.
Generally pretty much everything Comolli got, was quality and value for money.
Plus a couple of pretty crap buys under Ange.

Yes, I agree you’ve had some great buys. The squad depth ain’t there though.

We've spent well under Ange so far - Vic, VDV, Maddison all good buys. Dragusin is a good buy on paper, BJ is becoming more useful as well.

The trouble is we had so much work to do that it was never going to all be done in the space of 2 windows. We've still got a number of players to replace, and some that were before reliable who have become inconsistent or gone backwards.

Fair comment, altho I’m not convinced by BJ. Think you badly lack a goal scoring striker … for example Newcastle have Isak, with Wilson as excellent back up. To lead the line I wouldn’t swap either for Son (current version) or Richy. Out wide they have Gordon, Almiron and Barnes who are all excellent footballers … Kulu puts in a shift, but isn’t at their level, and Werner and BJ are athletes getting paid to play football IMO.

BJ divides opinion and I myself am not yet convinced he's ever going to be the real deal. He's still young though and has steadily improved over the course of the season so we'll see. Even if he's not a first team guy long term he's a good option to bring off the bench with his pace.

Kulu is more disappointing cause he was very good in his first season but has since gone backwards. For 2 seasons running it's not been the best from him.

We do indeed need another goal scorer though, someone closer to replacing Kane than anyone we have.
