He did well at PSG - won a quadruple and was the only manager ever to take them to a CL final.
And at Bayern won a title and actually got more points this season than the season he won the title but was up against a relentless Leverkusen side. There’s actually a petition from Bayern fans to keep him.
No manager alive will make us world beaters overnight but right now I’d actually settle for someone capable that can set us up well and see how it goes.
You won't enjoy his style of play but he will probably get better results than ETH.
Maybe he can bring some stability and structure which is clearly needed but never been overly convinced. People says he's had to manage difficult/poorly run club which is why he gets sacked but he'd be joining an even bigger mess with us but maybe he can make some improvements while not being a long term solution. I'm pretty sure I've read he's fallen out with a bunch of his players at Chelsea, PSG and Bayern (Lukaku, Kimmich, Mbappe come to mind) but again he's going to have to deal with worse stuff with us.
Just seems a bit of a t!t.
I'd like us to go for a duo, that would allow us a little succession.
Ancelotti and McKenna would be an example.
"And at Bayern won a title"
Didn't he manage about 5 league games last season and nearly lost the title even though it was still in Bayern's hands when Nagelsmann was sacked?

He was very lucky Dortmund bottled it on the final day.
He will want to stay in the Lowery hotel
never been that impressed with him... although it takes a special manager to be third in the ligue 1 with the squad he had.

Bayern were second when he took over. It wasn’t the greatest title victory ever but there were issues with the squad when he took charge and I guess theyre still there for the next guy too.

Why do you bother.

I know
Hopefully Ashworth can convince an experienced manager and a young up and coming coach to take on the rebuild.
Most impressed ive been with a coach at chelsea, including mourinho. What he done with that bunch of players was miraculous. Was also riding high top of the table after 10 games the season after the CL until injuries to key players (kante,James,Chillwell and the Lukaku incident) wrecked the season. Still got to two cup finals despite this and finished I think 3rd.

It's what happens when clueless yanks are running the show
Definintely closer to Ancelotti than Pep on the manager spectrum in that he's never seemed welded to a particular style of play
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I asked this last week about Tuchel.
So he doesn't have a style of play?
Is this a stick to beat him with or not?
What does having/not having a style of play mean?
Yeah but tbf also got hugely affected by the ridiculous sanctions
The only style of play I’m hoping for is for us not to concede 20+ shots per game and to actually look like we trained for the game during the week
Same Tuchel who has done wonders at Bayern? By losing the league title in a one team league. Bayern had previously won the league 11 seasons running before he arrived!
Yep, he'll fit right in at Utd*!
* Will end in tears
