Hope we can end the Molineux season on a positive note. Palace will come here full of confidence though so it won’t be easy. We should be close to a full strength squad. Having Santi back would certainly give us a better balanced defence. Be great to see Neto get at least part of a game. Maybe his last home game in a Wolves shirt

Looking forward to this one.

Will be in the Newhampton at opening time, hopefully the weather will be nice for the beer garden.

Not expecting any points from this one unfortunately. Another 2-0 defeat I fear. Hopefully we see a much better performance than of late though, and certainly more goal threat.

They will have too much for our ragged defence....

Concerns over whether his injuries will effect Neto’s transfer value is best highlighted by the below

Premier League appearances
21/22 13
22/23 18
23/24 19 to date

How much would a club pay for a player with that record

Villa out 6-2 on aggregate. Didn’t see that coming

Leverkusen looked set for their first defeat of the season tonight as Roma went ahead with two penalties. But they came back and got a 97th minute equaliser. They will play Atalanta in the Europa final

In his press conference today GON confirmed that Santiago Bueno will be fit to play tomorrow. But Neto isn’t quite ready so will miss out.

He talked through the difficult two months with all our forwards injured and said a slip in results was pretty inevitable. And that was not just an attacking issue. When we pushed players forward to try to compensate it left the defenders more exposed than they would have been. But he has been so impressed how the Molineux crowd have stuck with the team despite results, and he hopes they can produce a good performance tomorrow to send everyone home in a good mood for the summer

posted on 10/5/24

GON said he is pleased how the season has gone. We got 41 points last season and are now up to 45 this season despite having sold £100m worth of players last summer. But for all those forward injuries we would surely have got a few more points.

With regard to the upcoming summer he said he didn’t know yet what the plans are. He has a meeting in the week after the Liverpool game with Jeff Shi and Matt Hobbs. But he knows what he would like to do to improve the squad. His expectation is that unlike last year we won’t need to sell players to meet the sustainability limits. But we will likely need to sell to generate the funds to bring new players in

Really quite baffling this, so they are saying that the decision by the on field ref was wrong, but the VAR was correct not to overturn it. Is this some kind of bizarre attempt to make 2 wrongs look like a right?

posted on 10/5/24

I think they were all wrong and it was the wrong decision and wrong to not look at and it's so wrong that we were wronged.
Am I not wrong.

Just setting off on my drive to Wolverhampton. I’ll be wearing the above T-shirt in the Newhampton at opening time. Probably start off in the beer garden and move inside when the Fulham v Man Cheaties kick off.

Cunha not made the squad either. Guess they're looking to the future and the next WC, I would've thought that Richarlison and Jesus would still be in contention then and certainly Cunha, they do have some good young talent coming through though.

Hope you're not driving home

Darren Fletcher on 5 Live last night was onanising over how wonderful Man City were and how they're not getting the credit and kudos they deserve for potentially being the first club to win 4 consecutive titles and couldn't understand why that was. Even had the audacity to say that they've had to contend with FFP and PSR that the United and Liverpool sides of the past never did.

Paul Robinson eventually pointed out the 115 charges to him and suggested that may be the elephant in the room, he just dismissed by saying oh yes they need to clear their name and that they started putting the squad together before the"new rules" came in which of course is BS.

I can kind of see his point to a degree, Guardiola is a brilliant coach and he has assembled a squad of wonderful players that on their day are collectively among the best in the world. But effectively being owned by one of the world's wealthiest nations and paying lip service to the "new rules" and being allowed to get away with it whilst others are punished for a tiny fraction of the offences they've allegedly committed, clearly helps and also influences opinion.
