Because, as I have said some people let their heart rule their head when it comes to betting.

And that is their prerogative.

I like to try and win money from the bookies. Full stop.

I don’t think you can only win money from the bookies when something you like happens.

With god knows how many football clubs, competitions, betting markets and other sports out there......I'm pretty sure people can make plenty through betting without having to bet against their own team at any point whatsoever
