Only reason anyone places a bet at the bookies is in the hope of financial gain
With god knows how many football clubs, competitions, betting markets and other sports out there......I'm pretty sure people can make plenty through betting without having to bet against their own team at any point whatsoever
Thats my thoughts like....likely just knuckle dragging pi$h though eh?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't you know your own team best though? I don’t bet at all. Just as well, looking at my predictor performance
I’m not quite celebrating the title just yet, altho happily celebrating today’s huge win. Assuming we get it over the line next week, the main emotion will be relief … that we’ve been THAT unconvincing for pretty much the whole campaign, yet still got the job done. Would like to think we won’t be that bad again over a season … but then again, if we cash in on O’Riley, Hatate and (God forbid) CCV, then we won’t exactly have a lot of quality left! In the meantime though …
Kenny miller is a lunatic btw.

Hatate was poor today.

And no I wouldn’t feel really stupid.

Because rangers would have (unexpectedly imo) won the league.
It’s not that complicated.
I would give you £250 right now if you could guarantee me rangers would win the league.
The cash on these bets is a mere consolation prize from something I was pretty sure was going to happen anyway.

Because as much as I hoped we would win the league I was nowhere near convinced we were going to.
And 13/8 for Celtic to win the league must be the longest odds since the 55 season.
So it was enough to tempt me to nibble

So if Rangers won today, and went onto win the league……and you lost £250 because you bet against…not a bit of you would feel like really fcking stupid
On top of that, you say no harm done
Has there ever been a time when you’ve bet against Rangers, they’ve won, and you’ve lost money?
How’s that no harm done?

I would have lost money but rangers would have won the league so it wouldn’t bother me too much.
I would rather have lost it π

Dunno if you can tell Hamish but I’m rather fascinated by your mindset here

But we could win the league and you wouldn’t have lost it…so why do it?
I just don’t get it mate…..don’t get it at all

Because if your wife is going to cheat on you anyway, you’d might as well watch and vvank.
I’m fed up explaining this.

And no I wouldn’t feel really stupid.
I’d be delighted.
