Liverpool v Wolves Match Thread

Following Wolves proposal to scrap VAR a new system is being put forward as a replacement. That would involve each manager being able to request a review of two incidents during a game. Those incidents would then be reviewed by the referee at the pitch side monitor. Stockley Park would cease to be involved.

Where is Tam the last few weeks?

Think he's using Cricket as a distraction from our floppy end of season form.

Good news on Neto.

Some other good news, which may be of interest to DJ as well, Hednesford Town despite finishing second bottom of the Northern Premier League West division, they have somehow won a reprieve from relegation. Stafford Rangers after an equally poor season will be in the same league along with Chasetown, so some big local derbies there next season!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good to see that for Hednesford who’ve had a bit of a downward spiral over the last decade. Hope they can bounce back a little. And Stafford have also gone backwards in status. Chasetown were a tiny club until they had a couple of decent cup and trophy runs. Strange to see them now at the same level as those other clubs. Nice little ground theirs. Used to cycle past there into Chasewater

Funnily enough I occasionally cycled from Hednesford to Chasewater past there as well back in the day. Used to go out with a girl who's Dad was a bit of Chasetown legend, he rarely had to pay for drinks when he went out.

After Albion’s sad loss last night it means the play off promotion place will be going to a team relegated from the Premier League last season. This in turn saves the Premier League over £100m in parachute payments which will be shared equally between the 20 Premier League clubs. £5m bonus for Wolves.

Plenty of crowd trouble on the pitch at St Mary’s after last nights game.

Smartphones. Entire high street in your pocket these days, shops, travel agents, banks

Essential wallet contents include phone, cards and season ticket. But very little cash.

Is USA not the same?

Bayer Leverkusen today became the first team ever to go through a Bundesliga season unbeaten

Bayern Munich were without the injured Harry Kane for their final game but went 2-0 ahead after only 6 minutes. But they lost 4-2 and ended up finishing third behind Stuttgart

De Zerbi is leaving Brighton, sounds like the club were not matching his ambition. They have some headroom too on PSR. Pretty sure he's had some good offers though.

Bolton have missed out on promotion losing 2-0 to Oxford. What a shame eh?

Still can't stand Bolton after all these years.

Card primarily but cash is readily available with plenty of banks and of course cash back in shops.

Be interested to know how much less cash the Royal Mint prints compared to a decade ago. Quite a massive change in the way the world operates nowadays. Think most if not all Premier League football grounds are cashless now

Suspect tipping in the US is one reason cash is still a thing though not necessary these days either. Tipping in itself has become a bit of a farce, gone are the days of tipping for good service, now tipping is just expected and you are prompted to tip even before picking up a take out or coffee etc etc. Pretty ridiculous.

In London in particular it’s common for a 10% or 15% service charge to be added to the bill. Would rather that was just included in the food costs so you knew the real charge. Whether that money finds its way to the waitress I have no idea but I suspect not

Just seen that our game is on sky, didn't expect that with nothing on it and European places to play for, but of course it's going to be a wall to wall Klopp w@nkfest.

Apparently tipping is considered disrespectful in South Korea so was refreshing not to have the anxiety of all that wondering what to leave when we were in Seoul last year. Always a nightmare in the States, feel like your going to get shot on your way out if you've only left what spare little bit of spare cash you've got left.

Yeah was nice not to have to in Korea and Japan.

Such a massive black market economy here in the UK it would be impossible to go completely cashless.

About half of all bank notes in circulation are in the black market or held overseas, roughly £40billion.

I’m here tomorrow as well.

Santi Bueno in to give us a proper back 3 ahead of Sa. Bellegarde in alongside Lemina and Gomes. Neto on the bench. Stronger squad than we’ve had for a while

No excuses today. Full steam ahead!
