Yeah it was off. Good finish though. Looked alright since neto came on. Defended well second half. Sa's been brilliant.

Nice little cameo from Neto. Not on for long but brought two saves from their keeper. What a difference he would have made if he had been able to play more. Will we see him in a Wolves shirt again?

There we go then. 14th, would've been 15th but for Everton's points deduction. A season that promised so much for so long fizzles out badly.

Our form for a quarter of a season was diabolical

Five points from the last ten games is relegation form. Huge improvement needed over the summer.

Good job seasons aren't 10 games long then.

Interesting that we didn't play the ball out of defence this time and instead, Sa hoofed the ball upfield nearly every time. Don't know how Cunha missed his sitter, but thankfully Sa kept the scoreline at 2 when it could have been 5 or 6.

Roll on the summer dealings, with some players out and hopefully 2 or 3 in.

Was probably the sensible thing to get the ball as far away from our goal as possible. We did play out when we won the ball back a few times but mostly failed to hold the ball and coughed it up back to them cheaply.

I wonder if they've dropped the intensity in training, the last few games, absence through injury not withstanding, we've looked second best physically, and pretty blunt with the ball. Would make sense to avoid further muscle injuries but if it results in us playing mid level Championship football is it a price worth paying?

Something to be looked at for sure, injury prevention and treatment seems to have gone backwards in the last 2/3 years.

I really worry about the medical staff at the club today, their responsiveness when players are injured in games is appalling, there have been several situations where players and even the referee have been calling them on and they've just not responded, zero urgency. Heaven forbid we ever get another situation like we had with Jimenez. And of course the Kalajdzic situation, not only the lack of due diligence on his injury record, but letting him play on with a torn ACL !

Just think results and performances are a product of injuries that our small squad couldn’t cope with. Even this week it was evidently the case that Santi Bueno, Cunha, Lemina and Hwang were all playing some way short of being fully fit.

We must get to the point of having a squad of 23 or 24 so that we don’t need to call on academy players and don’t have to play players out of position. Che Adams on a free wouldn’t be my choice of a striker but on a free transfer he’s the type we need to increase the squad to be able to bring in rather than Nathan Fraser, Chiwome or an out of position Lemina or Ait Nouri if a forward gets injured

If he's with us. I hope he is, he's one of a few that improved as the season went on.

GON is saying he wants Semedo to stay. May come down to whether he will be willing to sign a new contract. The club wouldn’t want him to leave on a free in a years time. Same applies to Sarabia

Some interesting post match comments from GON yesterday.

Some people have asked him why some players were allowed to leave on loan when it left the club with a very small squad. His view is that people need to earn the right to play for Wolves. Some players did, and that’s why they’re still here. Some players didn’t and that’s why they’re not. Would the club have been better off keeping them at the club. No, we were better off without them

Begs the question have any of those out on loan earned the right to be here now. One or two maybe, most of them no.

I got the impression the comment was aimed at players that didn’t have the right attitude. Certainly Guedes, but maybe Fabio and Podence too

That's pretty damning, the way he said it implies that it was aimed at both Silva and Kalajdzic. Bridges are being burned it seems so I hope they have a plan for dealing with that situation. Fabio, Podence, Guedes, Sasa when fit, perhaps they should bring back Steve Hodge and set up a 10th anniversary bomb squad.

Feels to me like its something that O'Neil would have done well to keep to himself. He does seem to be a bit overly defensive at times in press conferences when he starts to feel a bit of heat coming his way.

No escaping the fact that some questions need asking. 5 points from 30 is alarming to say the least.

We need a squad capable of coping with the second least amount of injuries in the division!!

A number of Scandinavian countries run their leagues in the summer to avoid the winter chills and darkness. And Wolves are forming a working relationship with Swedish side Norrkopping in a similar way they have with Grasshoppers in Switzerland. Expect some Wolves youngsters to go there on loan this summer

Probably need a summer thread oldgold otherwise we’ll be reminded of Liverpool away for the next 3 months

Pork scratchings are a protected dish of the Black Country. Seems to me you’ve gone along way for nothing?
