They would’ve sacked ETH in December gone past

If they'd have let him go in December I don't think many of people would have been shocked.
What's strange is to part ways after they only lost 1 PL game in last 15. They were the third best team in the league from February onwards.

How is sacking a manager who’d made their side one of the most exciting and in form teams in the league the work of a top club?
Chelsea were below us in December and didn’t sack the manager.

Weren't they lower than us?
There could be a hell of a manager merry go round this Summer. I actually wouldn't be shocked if Pep left either. De Zerbi to replace him. Have read an unnamed PL team have paid Brighton the compensation. Only two PL teams have games left now so perhaps he's headed for Manchester?

With the money they spent, if you told Poch you are going to get the chop if you finish this season no trophy and no champions league, he would’ve told you of course!
Madrid

Bayern

What was expected of Chelsea this season?
More key injuries than us, mostly young players who weren’t really expected to deliver for a couple of seasons and a horrific strike force. Even with all of that he actually made Chelsea quite a decent side who would have been expected to push on next season, especially with a top striker likely brought in and improvements to their defence.
Sacking him now is the opposite of a top club move. Not to compare him to SAF but it would be like us sacking SAF in 1991 just as he was starting to turn it around and look decent.
Would the above aforementioned clubs have ensured with Poch? Are they top clubs or not?

Just a matter of time zones or our friend would have been all over it
Poch to United isn't actually as silly as some think it is this time bizarrely.
Whoever comes in next won't be competing for the league title in the next 3-4 years anyway because that's how far away we are. So getting someone who is good
with younger players actually makes a lot of sense for us. Chelsea did play some good football this season too but like us they were hampered massively by injuries. Two of their big money moves have barely kicked a ball all season which is crazy.
I wouldn't be overly upset if we hired Poch next. It probably makes more sense this summer than the last time we were linked with him.
