No, he's just in a better team. Its simple really.

Haaland will get more goals for city than he would for burnley.

You literally fecking won the Champions League with him. Weren't you a good team at the time. But he was still getting pelters.

No we weren't. We were great defensively. He scored one cl goal that whole tournament and even then nearly facked it up, luckily ederson got a touch to his heavy touch, if not it would have run out of play.

Anyway, no that team was distincly average. we just had a world class coach and defense with kante.

Kante, Silva, Rudiger and James carried us through for the most part. And mount was at his best.

If you rank the actual quality of CL winners of the last 30 years, that chelsea team would only be above a few like chelsea 2012 and liverpool 2005 (and some ive forgotten, maybe porto)

What you think does not matter. You come across as a bitter Chelsea fan. Arsenal fans are satisfied with Havertz in his new false 9 position, and so are the manager and technical director. So much so, we have altered our striker target profile. We all think he can score 15+ next season and create 10+ to win us the Premier League.

Why reply to me then? If you cant take opposing peoples views, who have even been complimentary to your team, then this site is not for you.

You just trashed your CL win! All because you want to have a go at Havertz. That is so bitter!

What’s bitter about not rating a player that has played for your club?

Didn't trash the CL win, was a fantastic feat. But theres reasons for everything. Ryan Bertrand wasn't as important as petr cech in 2012. Thats not trashing the team is it

It seems you are lacking critical thinking here.
I thank havertz for a key role in our second CL trophy where many of our better teams over the years failed.
However that's neither here nor there when rating a footballer.

It is bitter having a go at him when he is doing much better at another club.

You and I must have different definitions of having a go at someone.

no one is having a go, but as per my point, he isn't doing "much better" is he . He's won less, and scored a few more goals.

posted on 29/5/24

And you don't think that's having a go?

So what if he has scored a few more? Created more?

He's won fewer trophies!

What is better than one bitter Chelsea fan? Two bitter fans!

It's true, I view Arsenal in a light that they haven't been viewed in a couple of decades. First time I've envied them since the early 2000s!

Probably shouldn't want them to win the league but I'd prefer some variety over another city win.

I think the issue with Nick is that we could be on a thread talking about McKenna signing a new contract with Ipswich and he'd still find a way to bring it back to ragging on Havertz. At first it was just tiresome but now that Havertz has found his groove it just seems like he's an idiot or a WUM.

posted on 30/5/24

Another dunce who can't use logic.
Havertz was mentioned way before I found the thread.

"Chelsea fans used to say how Havertz was useless in possession and his passing was weak. Arteta has used him brilliantly in a new role, and he has flourished."

I'm a chelsea fan so therefore replied.

So no, I didn't bring it back to havertz. That would be your fellow arsenal fan.

Cheers

It was an awful argument anyway. He’s tried to dispute every point about Rashford on the basis that ‘Chelsea fans were wrong’.

I suppose if that’s the level of debate I should have just said that they were right about Willian, so that supports what I’m saying about a player I’ve seen play probably 400 times.

posted on 30/5/24

It's not an awful argument at all. Clubs have a better idea of how they plan to utilise the player. It doesn't matter how many times you have seen him play, we are not privy to due diligence reports produced by arsenal.

However, I will be happy to discuss with you why Rashford would work better in our system compared to Man Utd, if the move progresses to the next level, more than tentative links by self-proclaimed ITKs anyway.

posted on 30/5/24

It is, it’s a logical fallacy to suggest that because one group of fans were wrong about completely different player, which is disputed anyway, that the argument doesn’t have merit. Your appeals to authority, which you’re basing on a rumour that they will even sign him, is another poor argument.

There’s no point discussing it further, because every point made regarding Rashford was countered with incorrect claims and references to Havertz.

I might as well argue that Arsenal were wrong about Willian, which is the awful level of argument you’ve made.

Nonsense. Havertz is not a Chelsea player any more. And general comments from Chelsea fans were very disparaging after he left. So why are they bothered by what he does at Arsenal? Why aren't they ambivalent to his success? What you still see is hostility and denial that he is even succeeding! That's an emotional response, which is why I called them bitter. It is obvious they are! Not all of them, but definitely the ones who are continually posting on this thread.

Arsenal fans, generally, in my opinion, have faith in our manager and his system, especially his ability to turn around players. Now you can point to Arteta failing with Willian, but he was bought to play in a team still in transition. Arsenal are now in an upward trajectory, which makes it easier for players to settle because they are afforded time. There won't be instant pressure on Rashford to succeed straight away if we do go for him.

That is a huge boon for players when they make moves. Especially controversial, high profile ones!

posted on 30/5/24

Now, it's very unlikely we will even make a move for Rashford. We were interested before signed his new contract, so you are probably going to be stuck with him going forward, and it will be Ten Hag or whoever next to deal with it.

This is painful. I can’t be bothered with this, you don’t read things properly.
