Klopp did naff all in his first 2 seasons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Got to two finals without signing anyone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So now you're happy being bridesmaids? Didn't your OP title say "choose excellence, not emotion"?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you seriously want to compare day one Klopp to ETH then you know nothing about football.
Imagine if ETH was at Dortmund…. he’d probably finish 13th.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On current form, ETH would win the CL at the weekend.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The same ETH that bottled the final against, wait for it, Bottlejob FC Tottenham???
He has to go.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It wasn't a final, you absolute melt.

I've noticed that when I talk about last seasons good result, it was Rashy papering over the cracks I've a player was responsible.
When he loses a final for Ajax, it's because he bottled it, nothing to do with the players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Last season he just reverted to type and played survival football like Ole. Sit deep and counter.
He did the same again on Saturday and we won. People forget we set up the same against Pep for years, just like Saturday, under Ole and we beat them time and time again.

I doubt ETH is responsible for the injuries, Licha someone fell on his leg.
Now I accept it has, in general, been a poor season in the league, and I accept ETH has been the cause of at least some of that, but you must accept he has done good things also. Antony was a terrible buy but Martinez and Hojlund have been good buys.
The last three games he has chosen a different formation, and with excellent results..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I accept you may not agree with this, but is it not reasonable for a fan to feel that what he has done in the last 3 games should have been recognised and implemented much earlier in the season and hence resulted in a higher finishing position as surely fewer points would have been dropped?
Cup wins are enjoyable but it's the league where ETH will ultimately be judged.
I accept that you think he should be given further time, but others will feel that failing to act more quickly (I mean we are talking months) in terms of formation and approach to games has had a bad effect on the team and not excusable?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps he wanted to but couldn't because the injuries would not let him
Alst the ever changing CBs made Onanas dtart even worse than his nerves did.
Also his season is being talked about as if he didn't win any games, and some against the top teams.
ETH in
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would say that making the midfield tighter wasn't related to the injuries - some would say this was an obvious thing to implement. I would also suggest that it's the defeats to the lower-placed teams that are more questionable, and the manner of those defeats.
It's a mixture of subjective thinking, and then whether the Cup wins outweigh the league position this year and if Ineos can see progress under ETH.
Time will tell us soon enough

All this is well below acceptable for Manchester United, as you well know. I accept you now want to keep TH now after advocating his sacking not long ago, but your support for him HAS to be based on what you predict he might do in his last year under a new broom and system such as INEOS, when they finally get their act togeteher, rather than what TH has done this season.

I haven’t really much clue what will happen, to be honest. We don’t know enough about what the club’s recruitment will look like and where the coach fits into that.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he stays, or Pochettino or Tuchel are appointed. I suspect it’ll be one of those three, but couldn’t say with any confidence which one.

He doesn't speak English. A major drawback
I don't now why, but Zidane at Utd doesn't feel right. I also can't imagine him working with players who aren't mainly at the very top level.
Yep, agree with both of you.
Zidane would grow his hair so he could tear it all out again if he had to work with some of these players!

Maybe we could invest in some club hair to give to the manager when we employ them. It remains property of the club and they give it back when we employ someone else.
Like Liverpool do with their club teeth. Brendan Rodgers had to pass his teeth down to Jurgen Klopp when he took over.

Who’s your money on?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For me in order I’d say
1) Zidane
2) Tuchel
3) Poch
4) De Zerbi
5) Southgate

I highly doubt you’ll keep him.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Pochetino.

He should be. Serial winner and he’s big enough to take the job.
We’d get him too.

Not sure there’s been any indication that Zidane wants to manage United.

I agree on the choices, I would be surprised if you kept him though, I don’t think Saturday or the reaction to it is enough.
May be wrong though, the narrative has gone in his favour so they may well keep him.

Maybe we could invest in some club hair to give to the manager when we employ them. It remains property of the club and they give it back when we employ someone else.
Like Liverpool do with their club teeth. Brendan Rodgers had to pass his teeth down to Jurgen Klopp when he took over.
