From my source at the ground. Johnston, Arfield and Bryan on the left all played well.
Take of woe/injury list https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/injury-latest-after-wanderers-win
Dempsey if off to see a specialist on Thursday. Jones probably needs his knee cutting open.
Was it not available to watch without going to Chorley?
These pre-season games, don't sound as much fun as the Lancs - Manx days on the Isle of Man.

Can you spot the repeat soundbites coming from IE?
We've heard the "moving on" one before.

From the highlights, it looks as if we were second-best. reading the reports gives a very different impression.

Thought about going Tuesday but got a taxi job so can't mow. Had the commentary on Bolton FM last night. Everyone seems positive. A worry about Collins and his knee seems to be calmed down now. The new formation with 3 up top sounds interesting. Might suit Vic who scored again. Apparently he looks leaner and fitter. The injured players even those coming back from injury in the week probably won't start the season. Last nights 11 probably what we go with unless any impact signings. Guess between iredale/Conway left wing back and Johnston or Forrester at centre back.
We'll probably find out one of our signings late midweek as apparently we're waiting on the second legs of European ties to finish. Similar to the Toal signing.
The priority is wing back as we're probably not going to want to rely on a youngster yet.
All the hanging about and boredom is taking its toll.
We are going to need a blistering start to our season.
Failure to get out of blocks, won't keep the attendance figures up.
Two more friendly games to go. Can you feel the lack of enthusiasm for the new season.
It's all downplay at the moment, no new signings to shout about and the longer it goes on you wonder if it will happen.
I have had time to plan for my major project, it has kept me busy. When I return to England on the 10th of September, the matter will come to a head and I can complete the final details. I have everything worked out it just needs to fall into place.
The boredom of pre-season hasn't been too much of an issue for me but I'm looking forward to the start of the season.
Not feeling it at all. There is a stream out there for when I get home but not rushing.
Watched the 2nd half. No inspired. Too much passing about between the back 3, Sheehan and the keeper. No one running with the ball from midfield, no width. The front 3 seem very narrow. Looks reliant on the full backs but neither iredale or later Conway got forward. Look less ready than this time last season.
IE's after match transfer update
“We are hopeful by the end of the week we will have at least one"
This one caught my eye
“We have been light in numbers and there are players who started the game who haven’t started a game for a long time"
A run or reoccurrence of a few injuries and we'll be in trouble. Did IE not go to cubs and scouts?
The days of being prepared, knowing who would step in if there was an injury are long gone.
It's play day today.
Where's my square peg bag, I need to practice knocking them pegs into round holes.
A game of two halves yet again, things don't look too positive but it is only pre-season so we will just have to wait and see what happens next week when the season starts for real.
On the transfer front, Evatt is fishing in several ponds and pools. Whilst fish are good to eat, I want to see some good additions to the squad of players, we don't need anyone flapping around. So Evatt is hopeful that we will have at least one player coming in but it didn't sound as if it is nailed on.
As usual, we will just need to wait and see.
Match report https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/friendly-report-wanderers-0-stoke-city-1
Sneaked in there Forrester added to the injury list.
After the games in hand and Wembley disasters, they have their work cut out this coming season.
All we can do is live in hope If we don't get promoted this coming season surely Evatt has to go, otherwise, we could remain in League One for many years to come.
Another injured player has been sent to the sick and injury room. Rolled his ankle and it isn't certain when he will be fit to play.
So, Kilmarnock's Danny Armstrong, and possibly two players from European clubs, are in the frame to become Bolton players soon.
It seems that we might be moving closer to a resolution of our shortage of players. just might, we all know that nothing is sorted until the signatures have been written on the respected contracts.
It will be a step in the right direction if all three or any of them come to fruition.
Still no mention of any sports phycologists in the building.
Then there is the injuries, I still say Lostock has a lot to answer for. Throw in the warmup and training methods, we must be doing something wrong.
We could do with somebody from the outside, coming in and sorting out our fitness. While they are at it, take a look at how we are picking up all the injuries.
The Ben's " We won't be held to ransom" headline quote from IE, is bound to cause a few fruity comments today.
Your guess is as good as mine, have we won or lost the chase for a player or two.
Szabolcs Schön is having a medical and unless it's found he doesn't actually have legs he'll become another signing later on.
Cue up Szabolcs chants.
