If Sancho or Rashford became available, should we show any interest in them?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs would never spend the money on the fees and wages needed to get them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where ever sancho goes he’s going to have to drop his wages significantly and I don’t think his fee would be excessive either now.
Rashford we’d have no chance though

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes is the short answer. Marcus Rashford is the modern day Jermain Defoe - very streaky, but when he is in a purple patch he is unstoppable.
Sancho was never as bad as was being made out - he just needs to feel loved and is still a bit immature.
I can’t see United letting Rashford go though and he would have plenty of suitors.
I think Dortmund will make a decent offer for Sancho and he will want to go there as it’s his home really
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd be more willing with Sancho cause he has the age factor and carries less baggage. Part of me thinks we should steer clear and the other part thinks he could do a job in this team with Ange. I dunno.

He would, but it would still be big wages and a we’re looking for a transfer fee close to £40m I’d expect. Spurs aren’t paying any of for a player to sit on the bench. Especially after getting Werner back on loan.

Sancho was underwhelming for United and didn't justify his fee or hype one bit. If I was him, stay in Dortmund for as long as possible. He plays his best football there and
they are in the CL.
But I do wonder if his future will have a bearing on Ten Hag's future. No club will want to make a loss on a player so that could come into Jim's thinking maybe?

That's the first time I've seen Gallagher's name in a Spurs XI. Just doesn't seem right.
I think the biggest difference maker would be a proper commanding number 6 but there's not any obvious candidates.
I still think over time Sarr has the qualities to be come a commanding number 6.

You could say the same about spending £40m on a new player. I still remember him and Skipp at the San Siro playing in a double pivot and doing well.
Bring back the double pivot Ange !
I don't like the idea of Sarr as a 6 at all, very much likes playing straight lines. not someone you'd want recieving with his back to goal and playing at lots of different angles
he's perfect as a box to box midfielder
Luka, fee structure would be more to do with cashflow than his book value on the accounts. If we can make a small profit on the books and get his wages off them, I think most will be happy with that business.

I still think the perceived notion of an Ange no.6 does not exist. You are asking him to cover lots of ground, able to intercept, press and tackle. Then he needs to be able to play tricky balls in between lines, play with his back towards goal as well covering the area of the two full backs who love to go roaming.
It's mental and requires two players.
