Someone said it last night, it's Championship players against Champions League players.

Was the same situationagainst Spain and we were nowhere near as bad as we were last night....even in the away game when we lost to them let alone the win at Hampden
Need to start Gilmour and Shankland against the Swiss I think....drop Adams and Christie
As I said last night, binned it after 20 mins and stuck the golf back on. I’m guessing it just went downhill from there, but even just those early stages reminded me of watching the ‘Tic in a CL away game … only far worse. Our players just had zero composure on the ball. Absolute hot potato stuff, immediately coughing up possession time after time. No excuse for that at this level, but just a stark reminder of how technically limited our players actually are.
BTW, I was happy enough with the team before KO, and said so on here … even saying I was happy we’d gone with the younger donkeys alongside KT. I did also think, but didn’t post, though that Porteous might be a walking red card. He certainly delivered on that in style. Brainless thug.

To beat Spain was over achieving
To get the win in Norway was very lucky
See other than that, we held our own over in Spain, scored a goal that was very harshly disallowed
We lost 4-0 to Holland, but we were very much in that game and missed a few sitters
Crasing back down to normality would be to be half decent against Germany but ultimately not good enough and losing the game comfortably
It was worse than that last night...a lot worse....a helluva lot worse
We are better than what we showed last night....by a long way
Was busy last night anyway and only saw the last 10m but I've been sceptical since qualifying. Agree with others we have been overachieving and too many people carried away on that. Porteous has always been a diik on and off the pitch and like the team has reverted to the mean.

Hard to make a case for that, after a grand total of 2 touches in the opposition box, and zero shots on target … on top of a meh keeper and honking defence, whoever we pick. Fingers crossed though. Can’t imagine we can be THAT bad again. Could be worse, a good mate of mine paid £700 just for his ticket last night.

Watched the game today. Swiss surprised me. Were very lethargic in the build up to the tournament, but absolutely up for it today. Tired 2nd half but fully deserved the win. The way Hungary played 2nd half, wonder if we will even get a point, tbh. Really need to step it up

Agreed. Pretty much every one of that Swiss team walks into our starting XI. Would like to think Clarke will have to shake things up a bit after last night’s total no show, but his options are pretty limited in all honesty. We’d still have got beat in Munich, but losing Hickey and the option of Dykes has been massive.
