It's public knowledge we're after the likes of Poch, De Zerbi, Tuchel etc
Sack him right now. Clearly INEOS don't rate him or want him in the job.
Any proper manager would resign.

So they haven’t very publicly spoken to other candidates, it’s just reports from the media.
I don’t doubt that United have and if it were me then I wouldn’t be happy but this is the nature of employment as a football manager. My £8m salary and employability elsewhere would help me sleep at night.
And also: Erik ten Hag said he will “go somewhere else to win trophies, because that is what I do” if Manchester United decide to part ways with the manager.
I think that statement demonstrated having a spine.
If I was getting paid the thick end of a million quid a month, I'd lie back in my deckchair, sip my Campari and smile. And then I'd contemplate my pay off and laugh.

He's literally fluked two trophies. Poor, poor manager. 8th place in the league is simply unacceptable and he has to go.
Forget his FA Cup win. We just parked the bus and countered, same as under Ole vs City.

No way I would resign in such a scenario because you don't get a pay off if you resign and Ratcliffe would be proud and see himself as a genius for saving that money.
The solution to being publicly embarrassed by someone is not to give that person exactly what they want. Wait until they sack you and take every last penny at least. Would be very stoopid to resign IMO.

Lol OP you need to relax there isn't a single person in the world which would happily give up millions of pounds when being publicly treated like ETH by his employers out of "pride"
He would be an idiot to hand in his notice. He is doing the right thing. If they want him gone then pay him up the million's he's owed and move him on.
INEOS are coming off very badly here at the moment with the way they've let these stories leak about speaking to XYZ managers. I was hoping the first thing they would do is introduce a policy of being professional but alas it seems they aren't any different in fact probably worse in some respects to what United had before.
As others have touched on, Depends on what was written into my contract. I m not giving up a well paid job without a pay off when I've done nothing wrong and even brought awards to the company.

Can someone send me a link from the Club saying that ETH is being shown the door. I don't mean The Sun, The Star, The Mirror, The Mail or the likes of Linekar or Shearer et al. The Club. I mus have missed that announcement.
Many thanks - I will look forward to reading that.

United have spoken publicly about other candidates? I must have missed that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's public knowledge we're after the likes of Poch, De Zerbi, Tuchel etc
Sack him right now. Clearly INEOS don't rate him or want him in the job.
Any proper manager would resign.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So they haven’t very publicly spoken to other candidates, it’s just reports from the media.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's literally fluked two trophies. Poor, poor manager. 8th place in the league is simply unacceptable and he has to go.
Forget his FA Cup win. We just parked the bus and countered, same as under Ole vs City.
Ten Hag out. Now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Literally fluked ? Did you watch either of them ?

ETH could win the quad and that would be a reason for why he should get sacked for some people
