James Milner played in pretty much every position in his career, bar GK and CF! Not sure his quality would be high enough for this conversation though.
Gullet was pretty versatile and ended up playing at CB/Sweeper for Chelsea. Certainly capable of playing all the attacking positions in his prime.

the dutch were mentioned more than any other in our debate.
Gullit, Rijkaard and Koeman especially.
To be fair it's hard to look past Steven Gerrard for this.
He was class in every position he played for LFC. He played every position except goalie and was excellent in them all.

Seedorf would do well in most positions as well. Probably too small to be CB, but most others.
Zanetti played just about everywhere in defence and midfield as well.
Gerrard and Rooney are both decent shouts though.
Gerrard and Rooney aren't bad shouts to be fair
Both had the competitive edge, desire and all round skill set to be able to step in any position enough to at least cover it and not make an erse of it, I juts asked this question in my work and there's at least two arguements started already
Rooney and Gerrard are great shouts.
Seedorf could do everything.
Roy Keane could do everything.
KDB can do everything.
It’ll shock you but I’m going to go with Gerrard. He’s played pretty much every position bar GK for club and country.

ours is so heated its become ridiculous. we have one fella who is saying zidane and is willing to die on his hill without anyone else backing it whatsoever. such a weird debate dismissing zidane in a best ever conversation.

Going back a bit further in time, you could have put Bryan Robson anywhere on a pitch imo. Probably true of Souness as well.
Lorenzo Insigne
small lad, helluva player

Oh Good call there it seems to be the more "competative type of player in the discussion
Might be an unpopular one, but Ronaldo (Cr7). Physical freak - has the athleticism to get by anywhere on the pitch.

True but does he have the cajones and bravery to throw himself into 50/50 tackles against other big strong players if he was stuck in DC or FB? maybe could do to be fair?

Ronaldo has to be in the equation certainly.
can obvsiously play striker and wide and be one of if not the greatest there has ever been.
we said positionally he would be found out at the back with absolutely no credentials or expertise backing us whatsoever.
Kane - played in goal once as well.
