Not at all RR. I think its important to challenge blatant mistruths, mis/disinformation and myths that get spread about with lack of recourse and eventually taken as fact.

Same as you I posted about Farage in his school.days and got filtered and comment deleted. It's just cowardly.

State of politics is at an all time low, no longer about policies but about personalities. Farage is a dangerous shape shifting figure who panders on the same subject he lied about during the referendum. He's doing the same now for Reform with the added policy change of openly demonising Muslims. Any person who is seen as a positive figure by all the far right groups is a dangerous person.

The appetite for right wing politics has grown in the UK over the years, 52% during the Brexit referendum voted on that exact reason, more are likely to do so during the GE. However, the reality is Brexit has not delivered on the promises of Boris Johnson, the electorate are likely to punish the Tories on all the failed promises. The shenanigans during COVID and since have tipped the electorate over edge, keen to completely wipe the Tories off the political landscape. Farage and Reform will be main beneficiaries. Labour will be outright victors, the degree of their win will depend on how much damage Reform cause. It could lead to a weak Labour majority or even a coalition.

A decimated Tory party in a traditionally two party system will make for a weak opposition.

Either way the country is fecked for the next 5 years or maybe more..

I'm not clever enough to dissemble political discussion.
I do have one simple idea. I don't like anyone having one thousand million pounds, or in Abramovich's case seventeen thousand million pounds, whilst we have genuine poverty in this country. I don't mean we should take it all from them but taking a half would still leave them as rich as Croesus.
Simplistic but why not.
It's true there are people who never want to work, they would continue to get their benefits, but miss out on any small windfall. Voila as we say.

Reform is a far right version of conservative party, think UKIP

Every single major party are on the right side of political spectrum, the left is underrepresented. Labour no longer represent the left, have not done so for some time.

The current Consevative Party is a far right version of the Conservative Party. Reform Uk is a new diluted version of the NF, that now wears a suit.

Not sure sure, the Tories are very right wing not sure it's far right. NF are far right as are Reform. Reform are NF in suits is probably the perfect analogy!

Most of the Tories disillusioned with the party are Reform members. Once Farage destroys the Tories to near extinction, they'll go cap in hand to him to lead a revival.

Scary and uncertain times ahead.

Hmmm, we can try to break down lots about the political situation here and afield but it is both simple and complex, local and global, our own fault and others, everyone despairs but for different reasons with the only ones proclaiming hope being the shysters that want to milk the industry that politics has become.
