Georgia have better players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Another disgrace given the size of their population, the age of the country and the strength of their domestic league in comparison.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Georgia were in our group and we beat them comfortably at home in terrible conditions. We had a tropical downpour which waterlogged the pitch and the game had to be postponed for it to drain, and in which I got facking soaked on the way to Hampden
2-2 in the away game which I didn't see.
Georgia only have 1 point and have Portugal next, so will likely have the same output as Scotland in this tournament. Not sure why they have been brought up.

Not sure who’ll win this tournament in all honesty. Can’t say there has been one team for me that genuinely stands out as the tournament stick on to win it.
Spain look the standout at the moment, quite comfortably. France will go far as will Germany and Portugal. Austria may surprise a few as well. Would be surprised if England reached the QF in all honesty
For me it was 'more a pen than not', but Armstrong seem more interested in trying to get the pen rather than score. I don't know if he was a touch offside also, but it shouldn't overshadow what was a negative disappointing display from Scot who didn't create much at all.
Hungary were disappointing also. Maybe the occasion got to both teams, but it was like lets just play for a draw until the last 15-20 mins and then go for it.
Shankland showed great energy when he came on and probably deserved more time in all the games. But compared to other teams, Sco looked so negative and lacking ideas. I never liked the approach of let's go for 4 points - settling for a draw against Swi, when they copuld have been more positive towards the end, and having so much of the ball against Hungary and not doing much with it.
Clarke will deflect to the pen decision, but ultimately Sco didn't go for it enough in the last 2 games and whilst the fans will be missed, the team won't in terms of football it produced.
17 shots in total throughout the tournament. Only enough to equal Northern Ireland's total in Euro 2016 as the lowest number of shots since the group stages were introduced.
Having watched last night, I wish we had Robertson in our (England) team. The pen probably was one but like others have said, he kinda stopped and possibly looked for it. Still, I'd be fuming if it happened to England.
I'm not an expert on Scottish Football but imo Adams should have not been in the starting XI. His finishing and composure near goal was abysmal.

Spain and Germany will meet in the quarters if they win their last 16 matches. If France don’t outscore the Dutch in the final game then they will play Portugal in the quarters.
People keep missing this - England got a fantastic draw compared to some of the other nations. If Holland do pip France, our potential route to the final could quite conceivably be Slovakia, Switzerland, Holland

And this is because there are, at a stretch, 8 other nations that the general consensus would consider to be tricky at the euros. Most of them are seeded, so you only get 1, maybe 2 groups of death maximum, out of a possible 6.
Then if you win the group, you usually avoid the other top seeds next round too.
In theory England should only expect a "tough" draw from the QFs onwards, but that's assuming that none of the top seeds struggle.

Absolutely - 1 group of death and England avoided it - not much of a surprise is it.
Put us in any of those groups at the expense of the other seeded side and we progress. Group B we would get 4 points I reckon, Group D I would say 4/5 points and the rest would be 6 minimum.
It’s hilarious hearing Scottish fans talking about the ease of our routes - that same easy route was open to them in 2021. They had 2 average sides in their group this time and all they could do was talk about how great the Hungarians are - which hasn’t come to pass.
England are in a weird self imposed “turmoil” because we haven’t won 5-0 yet.

People keep missing this - England got a fantastic draw compared to some of the other nations.

Probably because it happens with such regularity.

I know mate.
And like us you’ve never won the tournament either, although it’s “hilarious” hearing many English fans thinking they are a stick on to win it every time it comes around
Silly football fans eh?
