You can see how much he’s dropped off since he left United for the desert, smashing 40 goals in against Al Kebab in front 68 people is the standard of the euros.

As for Martinez, he did jack sh!t with Everton and walked in to top jobs at international level with great players and failed.

Come on, they lost to France on penalties and probably have won this match. Not many teams do that to France.

Many players missed opportunities and only Ronaldo gets blamed. Sure he isn’t what he was and id rather he was benched but the Ronaldo hating has been out of control in the British press this tournament.

By all accounts the players idolise him too, it would have caused huge disruption within the squad.

Everton’s record points total in the prem is hardly jack sh!t.

Martinez lack of basic common sense has been his own downfall in the Euros.

It has to be an impossibility to have a lack of awareness as to how poor Ronaldo is at the top level.

If they don’t bin Ronaldo now this will just carry on into the World Cup.

For a country that has produced some decent managers with a few coveted ones around at the moment, it's strange they have relied on an average Spanish guy. Portuguese FA must be as incompetent as ours.

Not sure if he's been approached or not but probably still feels he is better than international level at the moment.

Martinez won the FA Cup with fecking Wigan and did a good job at Everton.
