He isnt fit after an injury.
The money on Hojlund and Zirkzee could have got us Kane, who still guarantees 30 goals per season.

Another 2-3 seasons, but if he helped us qualify for the Champs League in those seasons, he'd have almost paid for himself.
England will win a cup once Harry Kane retires
Last thing harry won was his 250m bronze swimming badge. Guys a Jonah.

How would he have helped us qualify?
We don't have anyone who can cross a ball.
Kane doesn't do any running these days.
Not sure what difference he would have made.
Complete mannequin this tournament.

He just got 40 for Bayern,.but yeah, let's judge him on the Euros, where he was just back from an injury, and in a defensive side.
Feel sorry for the bloke but he definitely didn’t look right this tournament.
Still easily one of the top striker in world football and I would have taken him over Hojlund last summer considering he only cost £18m more (I suspect Levy would have wanted more from us that Bayern however). But I understand why some fans wouldn’t because he probably doesn’t have loads of years left in him and it’s vital we build for the future.

It’s not as black and white as just the transfer fee though.
If Kane signed for us last summer it’s on 300k per week plus likely on a 5 year deal. If he declined rapidly in a year or 2 you’re stuck with a player on huge wages that no one wants.
As if he ever join your shower of shiete, not that Levy would ever sell to you
Obviously his wage will be far bigger but I don’t think he’ll drastically decline in a couple years because he’s a very intelligent player who relies on good movement and excellent finishing.
The point I made was simply in compassion to Hojlund who we've spent big on and who isn’t guaranteed to be good enough for us. Kane is vastly superior, will improve any side massively but at his age isn’t going to last many years. I think there were probably better options out there last summer but I’m not sure Hojlund was it.
We heard similar about the like of RVP and Berbatov and they declined rapidly after 30.
Kane is clearly superior to Hojlund now but we might not be saying the same in 2-3 years time.
We might not but we also haven’t seen much to think he will definitely be our main striker in a few years, I hope he does.
I don’t read too much in International tournaments and offensively England had no rhythm at all. Kane was excellent for Bayern, he got 56 goals and assists and he’ll get a load more next season too.

This
Kane would have improved us hugely for 2-3 seasons.
Btw I’m not suggested we should have bought Kane last summer, just that considering he was only £17m more than Hojlund I don’t think you can say we dodged a bullet when Hojlund isn’t guaranteed to succeed himself at the club.
I also don’t think Kane is anywhere near finished just because he had a poor Euros. No striker had a particularly good tournament and England were terrible going forward, not just Kane.

Thank fook. He's got bottling genes . Keep him the fack away.
It's the tactics that made him look rubbish. The team has zero chemistry. Just individuals playing for themselves. He's a world class striker, one of the best in the world. I mean Foden and Bellingham looked like pub players playing for England.
Kane is cursed. He even stopped Bayern Munich winning the league last year. I have no doubt England will lift a trophy once he steps down from the starting line up.
I personally thought it was hilarious that Kane was willing to exchange everything he’s achieved in football, (the square root of fack all) for the Euros title.
Keep em coming Harry 😂
Kane wouldn't have made much difference to us last season. He might have scored a few more goals than Hojlund, but our main problem us creating chances for our forwards. Kane doesn't really create chances himself and would have been frustrated at United last season with the lack of service.
It is worth noting that Kane's conversation rate in the PL is a goal every 5.5 shots. Hojlund's in comparison is a goal every 3.8 shots. Obviously with Hojlund we are talking about a much smaller sample size, but I think it supports that the main issue with Hojlund is a lack of service. He was especially frustrated in the early part of the season where his runs were constantly being ignored.
