Sure I read he had his medical yesterday

I’m in two minds about the signing. He looks decent but he’s so young and I wonder how he’ll adapt to the PL. If Ten Hag manages him well I’ll be quite confident for his chances but if he plays every week in a chaotic system it could destroy him.

I’m gonna err on the side of optimism though so hopefully he lives up to the hype

Just landed in Turkey last night and got my days mixed up. Article does say medical on Wednesday.

Hope he's brushed his teeths

I wonder if we'll see him at RB at times and we also sign another CB or see Martinez at LB in a kind of three CB and one full back system.

Just watching a bit of YouTube and he does like the odd AWB style last ditch wrap your leg around the opponent tackle

Lets hope we go for a DM next, can't see us doing much next season if Casemiro is in the same form as last season.

Hopefully we can get a good fee for him from SA and also maybe sell McTominay (will make a big difference to our kitty being homegrown), that should give us plenty to get a good DM, maybe the PSG lad, on paper sounds like the kind of player to compliment Mainoo.

Then if we have anything else bring in another CB and/or FB, the Turkish lad sounds good. This is being very optimistic though.

Portuguese journos saying that if PSG won’t go higher than €70m, then Benfica want Renato Sanches in the deal as well. (We could try €70m plus McT?!)

They’re also reporting that Neves wants to go to PSG over the PL, so it looks like it might get done if all of that has any truth to it.

Realistically, we can't sell Casemiro and McTominay. We only have those plus Mainoo and Eriksen as it is.

Bit worrying if a player would rather play in Ligue 1 than the PL? Unless he's imagining walking down the streets of Paris with a baguette and some cheese.

Regarding McTominay, I read that Fulham bid for him a few weeks back (I guess partly because they've sold Palhinha). If we can get around £25-30m for him we should definitely move him on.

Problem with McTominay is that he offers virtually nothing as a DM. His only positive is he gets the odd goal in the dying minutes of games but as an actual midfielder he's pretty pointless. I'd way prefer we use Mount if he can stay fit.

Totally agree, I just don't think that's how it plays out.

Just seems that nobody is interested in Casemiro (rightly so) and we don't have the numbers in midfield, or the budget to replace them to lose both.

There's lots need doing, we still need a CF (we only have 2), a RW, 2x CM, 1x LB, 1x RB (if AWB leaves) and another CB.

Can't do it all I guess.

I thought there were lots of rumours about Casemiro wanted by SA sides? No idea how true that is but he definitely fits the profile of player they want to bring in.

Does he work with Mainoo? A small scheming midfielder is far on the list of needs as talented as he may be.

Neves Mainoo Bruno isn't a good midfield 3. You need some grit and a proper tough tackler in there for me. A player with the skillset of Ugarte would actually make more sense for us.

That is Neves, from what I've seen. I think people misprofile him because of his size - he's a pretty tenacious midfielder.

So much for Madrid being interested, they clearly aren’t it seems. Good signing this I think .
