Did read that Celtic really want Hugo Bueno and he is keen on the move as well on loan.
Also saw that we are currently 2 over the 17 foreigner number even if we exclude Silva and Sasa.
Sarabia is one I think we could happily lose and Podence another quite likely you would think. Thrown in the likelihood we still lose at least one star in Neto/RAN.
Ha, so just seen Charlie Austin has signed for my hometown club AFC Totton.
Watched the game over a cup of coffee this morning.
Thought we were the better team first half with some good individual performances from the likes of Lima, Hugo, Doyle, Chirewa. Bellegarde I made the pick of the opening team, and Guedes is showing far more motivation than when he was last with us. Lima twice scored from offside positions, one was questionable. Within 30 seconds of one of those goals Palace went ahead after a blunder from Bentley. If Arsenal want him I’d bite their hands off because I don’t think he’s good enough as a premier league standby keeper.
Second half was a much less interesting game with Wolves not getting going for a long time and it was surprising we didn’t make more changes after an hour. Lima and Santi were asleep for Palace’s second. We looked better once Sarabia and Larsen came on and Chiquinho was much better in this game. Sarabia put in a good cross for our goal then an excellent set up by Larsen for Santi to score. Shame Palace nicked another at the end to put a damper on a bright finish to the game by Wolves.
Not a bad performance in parts but it was a damp squib of a game in the first half hour of the second half. The 4231 formation is good with Larsen at the front but it does leave us more open at the back and Palace had more clear cut openings than us.

Can’t see Fabio or Sasa getting listed in the squad, and I think it’s a banker that Podence will leave. Who knows with Guedes. And I still suspect Neto will end up going. Ait Nouri will depend on getting an offer too big to turn down. Sarabia is not a 90 minute player but he has a real eye for a decisive pass and is one of our most creative players. I’d be surprised if he was moved on.
Interesting one now is, presuming we get big bucks for Neto and/or Ait Nouri, what would we do with that cash. A back up keeper and a centre back for sure, and a left back to compete with Hugo if RAN left, but we could afford to bring in another attacking signing if GON felt the need for that
We actually have 21 foreign players over 21 currently at the club and my biggest fear is, how does GON keep everyone happy. Nuno preferred a smaller squad for that reason, but having a small squad has its drawbacks. So the sooner we move some on the better, as it's kind of restricting us bringing in anyone else. Having watched these two games, I haven't a clue what GON thinks is his best 11 and we haven't seen those who've been away yet.
I'm sure this season we'll register a squad closer to the 25 allowed and maybe we'll have the luxury of rotating the players, thus keeping them fresh and less likely to get injured.
I see RB Leipzig won 2-0 last night and will prove a stern test in a couple of days.
Looks like Chirewa will be going out on loan. Probably the right decision given the competition for places we now have. But he could be a great loan signing for a championship team
Hwang apparently wondering where he fits into the squad and GON tells him he will be part of it. However, I personally would like to keep Chirewa and sell Hwang. Still don't know why we turned down 21m for him a while back.

Wolves away strip for the new season will be all black. Like it but with black shorts for the first and second strip we will need another strip to change into when we play the likes of Newcastle
yes I like the black , had that news flash just come up, maybe all white for third kit?
Why not play in old gold at Newcastle?

Got my youngest the home shirt the other day they we're selling black or gold shorts so maybe we'd play in all gold
Hoever going to Sheff Utd on loan. No option to buy
I notice that Danny Batth has joined Blackburn Rovers, after he was apparently training with the Academy.

I read somewhere that gold shorts were going to be first choice this season, though the friendly games thus far would suggest not.
Be a shame to move away from the traditional old gold and black first choice strip. If the plan was to move to gold shorts then they might have shied away from that after the furore over ticket prices. Can’t recall them choosing before a second strip that also has black shorts, so maybe all gold was the original first choice plan.
Premier league rules is that you can’t colour clash with the opposition on shirts, shorts or socks so they may still have gold shorts in reserve. More likely though that a third strip is on the way

Wolves have opened talks with Burnley to sign defender Maxime Esteve, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Transfermarkt has his current market valuation at 7m Euros. Young, Premier League experience, tall and mobile.
My only concern is that he looks a bit gormless?
Villarreal have generated some funds from transfer sales and are now looking to reinvest. And their top targets are two players they had on loan last season. Wolves are looking for £20m for Guedes and Villarreal are looking to offer €10m for Mosquera
Question is will Wolves agree to sell either of them

I'd be surprised if this took place, as Burnley just signed him on July 1st for 12m euros, after loan spell from Montpellier.
maybe there had been a quick falling out as it looks like Burnley did not let him play in the Olympics for France
Who was it a few seasons ago that we resigned and then immediately transferred him away?
