There’s 30 names there but I reckon Fabio, Sasa, Podence, Guedes, Cundle, Hoever will not be in the final squad bringing it down to 24. Of the remaining 24 I reckon 18 count towards the 17 limit of foreigners. So at least another one has to go. Neto, RAN and Hugo all contenders according to the rumour mill

Think Guedes is the only possibility from those first six but still unlikely I suspect.

Boubacar Traore another linked with a move away. A mistake if that happens imo.
Sarabia to Saudi another potential link. Wouldn't be too upset with that.
Chiquinho also linked away.

Like I mentioned the other day, we have 21 foreign players that are over 21. 4 need to go in order to comply with the rules, plus a few more, if we're looking at bringing others in.

So it's likely that Fabio, Podence, Guedes and Hoever will be the first to be offloaded. If Sasa is not going to be fit until after January, then there's no need to register him until the next window. That will give us a spare slot.

The added bonus of Pedro Lima, is that he will be regarded as a HG player, when he turns 21.

Wolves currrently in the process of agreeing loan deals for a few of their players for the new season including Cundle, Hodge and Lonwijk. Wait to see what happens with Hoever with reports indicating that the late breakdown in his planned move to Sheff Utd was due to issues arising from his medical

Still waiting to see what happens with Podence. It was taken for granted he would go to Olympiacos permanently this summer. But with less than two weeks to go until the start of the Greek season they haven’t made an offer yet, and neither has anyone else. Wolves are only looking for €10m for him. He could yet end up staying with Wolves but as we are up to the limit on foreign players he might not be named in the squad

I certainly didn't take it for granted and I'm sure not many others did. Most of us wait for the ink to dry on a contract.

We are 4 over the limit with regard to foreign players and that may be the reason we haven't signed anyone else yet.

Plus Olympiakos may not have the funds to buy him, plus they are on the limits with their foreigners, so if he does go there, it may be another loan.

I think a little too much is made of the foreigner limit anyway. If we want to sign someone that is foreign we will. We don't have to name them all in the final squad.

Silva and Sasa won't be named for start.

I think it's best we try and offload at least 3, as they will still be on the payroll. If we can't, then you're right, we don't have to register them in our 25 man squad and they can only play in the U23's.

Sasa won’t be fit enough to play in the first half of the season so clearly won’t be named in the squad. But for Fabio, Guedes and Podence the foreigner limit is a major issue. Can’t see them being in the Wolves squad so if they don’t find another club then they will in effect be on gardening leave which I’m sure none of them want

Friend of mine was talking to Sasa yesterday in Tettenhall, and he told him that he’d be back on the training pitch in September. Obviously he’ll still be a long way off match fit.

I’ve got a sneaky feeling that players are going to be difficult to move on in this window. As wolfie correctly states, until the contracts are signed players are going no where. Taking deals for granted is naive in the extreme.

Offloading “Calamity Kilman” early in the window could prove to be a master stroke. 👍

Another Sunday 4-30 pm rubbish from my point of view with a long distance to travel and work the next day

It is currently scheduled for 4:30 on the Sunday but if City end up having a Champions League game on the following Tuesday then it will revert to being a Saturday game. It will still be on Sky though so will either be a lunchtime or evening game

Wolves first home match of the coming season, evidently against Chelsea, is seemingly not on Sky.

Self evidently it's always advisable to check any information you read on here before making any travel plans.

Not always wise to try and be first with the news, or maybe lay off the "you know what"
