Atkinson does seem rather handy with the bat and will hopefully be someone who can average low 20s.

However this current innings is making me think the pitch is flat as a pancake and we've once again left runs out there.

Lords does tend to flatten out so we may get to see Lawrence with some of his flailing deliveries at some point today or tomorrow. It's an entertaining watch but he has picked up a few wickets for Surrey this summer.

Good recovery from the old school 30/3. The class of Root and some scintillating stuff from Big Gus as well helped us to a big total. I reckon par was probably around 350-375. That's not to say SL won't get over 400 also.
