2 weeks left until the season starts
We signed Bergvall last window i think.
If we trying to sign players on deadline day again then we know who to look at.
Don't know what to expect. Pre-season hasn't really answered many questions from last season, not that it normally does anyway.
We need to have a solid start because Ange's credit in the bank isn't particularly high at the moment. But in saying that, we are missing some depth in attack still so hopefully something will be done in the next couple of weeks.

We agreed a deal in February to sign him this summer
If Anges comments are to be believed there will be more signings this month...

That seems quite a bullish statement. I thought this may be a revolutionary window for us, thought we may really push on with some quality signings. Grey and bergvall have big potential but it's unfair to load lots of pressure onto them at 18.
We have done so much in the commercial space, offloaded 9 squad players we should have lots to spend.
In my mind we are still short...
Ball playing keeper.. initially backup to vicario.
Cover for porro - this may now be Spence given a very good pre-season and improved attitude.
Cover for udogie - Davies still being around baffles me. Top pro but hasn't got the attributes to cover udogie.
Cover for VDV.. has iffy hamstrings, lots more games, need a LCB.
CM I think we are ok with Biss, Bentancur, sarr, Grey, and Bergvall but Romano saying we want another CM.
RW - essential. Johnson isn't the man and neither is Kulu.
Striker - obvious really. Richy isn't good enough, constantly injured, inconsistent, slow.. terrible first touch.. Ange has said this is a priority.

I kinda feel the same... I have no clue what we really are. As much as I love Cuti, VDV, Udogie & Porro as individuals. I can't help feeling we'll still leave them exposed and concede a ton of goals.
Similar situation MF.... Madders, Bergvall and Bentancur are all great players with the ball but Biss and Sarr are inconsistent. as a result, we look lightweight.
Up top I'm not massive fan of BJ, Kulu and Werner, and both Son & Richie are very streaky.
I know what Ange wants to do and how he wants the team to play but I'm not sure the PL is the place for it and Defo not with the players we have.
Bergvall & Gray both look like fine young players but I don't think either of them or other players we are being linked to make us that much better than last year...... While it was fun, its was f*cking mess most of the time
it wont be just those two but understand it is frustrating we do not seem so active in pursing players to improve our team and just two weeks til start of season

If we don't strengthen too much, we just have to hope that a year on, these players are more in tune to the way Ange wants us to play and we'll improve off of that. Some players may have better seasons anyway through their natural progression with age and experience.
Maddison needs to show more as well. He is one that hasn't looked great since he came back from injury and was very much an important part of why we looked so good in the first 10 games last season.
100% the slow pace and hold ups are down to Levy, Royal for example should have been sold the moment we got an offer of 15m euros, we ain't getting much more than that so why bother trying to eek out another 1m, just get rid and move on
I'm sure you lot will sign Toney, can't see where else he would go now.

I guess that would be his backup but Brentford aren't stupid and think they know they gotta sell him, think they are just trying to get a good price. Think he'll go for £45-£50m ish to you guys later this month
would rather spend big to upgrade our right side and hope Richy and Kulusevski with the young lads can be enough for the season
if we could sign Toney and Neto say that would be a great window
Matt Law of the times reckons we’re making solid movements on Solanke. Fab Romano did the Eyes emoji to it.
Seems mental to me to pay £65m for Solanke - but I think we might.
Still a load of talk about Neto as well.
Eze gone quiet.
Will be a grim couple of weeks until the football actually starts
yeah the main concern for me with the price is the fact you know it is going to stop us from spending even half of that on another incoming
unless we are selling Richarlison and Bentancur which i cant see happening
If the players we want are not available or out of our reach then am happy to sit and wait . It’s embarrassing how We buy players for decent money but give them away for peanuts cause they are Shiite.
We need to start making the right decisions in the transfer market.

I know you desperately want the reason to be Levy but it won't be. The price will have been agreed a while ago.
Any hold up will be due to the lawyers. It's always the legals that take for ever. I work with lawyers and contracts as part of my job (albeit in a different industry). They take forever.

2 problems with Toney now, 1) Thiago got injured, Brentford aren’t selling at £40m, they’d rather keep and let him go next year for free.
2) Ange has a no diqhead policy and Toney is somewhat of a liability on that front
