Don't know what to expect. Pre-season hasn't really answered many questions from last season, not that it normally does anyway.
We need to have a solid start because Ange's credit in the bank isn't particularly high at the moment. But in saying that, we are missing some depth in attack still so hopefully something will be done in the next couple of weeks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have missed 3 CB's(two first teamers) and our first choice LB all summer. Davies has been injured too. I'd say our pre season has gone well considering.
Do Spurs fans have a mental block when it comes to our defence? lol

well we've done a good job of plugging a lot of leaks so less info is coming out
so it's probably not that we've gone desperate and are suddenly pursuing Solanke and more that we've been working on this for a while and it's nearly done so more noise is coming through

The problem with the Solanke fee is it probably stops us buying Eze/Neto in addition, otherwise I wouldn’t give a schitt as it’s not my money.
Got a bad feeling we will only get one of Solanke/Neto/Eze and then buy from the reduced shelf for the other needed positions
Still think we should buy Jonathan David for £20-25m…
Chiesa also for the same amount… rather than buying Toney or Solanke…
Have a feeling that it will just be Solanke… no way will we pay £65m though

You spread the risk a bit but David hasn’t done it in this league and no top clubs are in for him.
Chiesa was a non starter - £12m in Agent fees, huge wages and an injury record that Darren Anderson would be embarrassed of

All depends on the structure for the fee. With Eze, Palace want most of it or all of it up front. That would put every club off him. And now they are selling Guehi to Newcastle they are in a stronger position to keep Eze.
Here we are two weeks before the start of the season and we haven’t improved the first eleven at all since last season

Jeez, you're clueless
Spurs are rebuilding, not overly surprised they've stayed away from ready made signings.
It's a project and the aim seems to be to have the team hitting their peak in a couple of seasons. Probably not what fans want to hear but as long as you make progress this season your on the right track.
With PSR clubs seem to be more cautious in spending money but at the same time selling clubs also looking maximise their revenues. It has always been thus but more pressure at both ends.
We haven't really seen a lot of spending so far by anyone and the window is currently shaping up to be one of the lowest summers spends in recent time.
The Copa and Euros also had an impact too with a lot of players only just back from holiday
With PSR clubs seem to be more cautious in spending money but at the same time selling clubs also looking maximise their revenues. It has always been thus but more pressure at both ends.
Werent both Newcastle and Villa both in PSR trouble, yet neither seem shy of spending still. Both will be in and around where we finish next season, theyre business could give them the edge

Yeah the PSR line is tosh - Newcastle are about to spend £60m on Guehi, Chelsea can’t stop spending, Villa have spent good money.
Even Everton have spent a bit.
As usual with Spurs, it’s not how much we spend but how we go about spending it. Why do we leave everything late - the Euros and Copa are bullschitt excuses, Arsenal have got Calafiori done, Solanke didn’t even go and we haven’t progressed that at all. Now Newcastle are close on Guehi.
