Spurs are rebuilding, not overly surprised they've stayed away from ready made signings.

It's a project and the aim seems to be to have the team hitting their peak in a couple of seasons. Probably not what fans want to hear but as long as you make progress this season your on the right track.

yeah and then you should see the ready made signing when we are in a better position

thing is though this is spurs and they either wont get to the better position or fluff their lines again from a position of more strength

What/ when are we rebuilding from?

I’d say the 2019 season which ended in capitulation in the CL final. But probably the summer window of 2018/2019 season.

We seem to be constantly rebuilding.

If Ange had come out and said “I’m here for 4/5 years and we’re going to bring in lots of young talent that I’m going to mould and we’ll see progression” then fine.

But he’s said he only stays for 2 or 3 years, wants new attacking options, wants them in early, has identified targets, wants the club and fans to have a winning mentality.

If the problem since the last days of Poch has been a lack of alignment between manager, board, DOFs and scouts - like most people have observed - then nothing seems to have changed.

Yet all we hear is that Levy’s taken a back seat, data driven, Lange works under the radar, Scott Munn drove us forward etc. But nothing has changed in terms of what we can actually see.

They still have time and hopefully they will get two starters into the team. Then get one in January. Then two next summer - and then we’re actually building👍🏻

There is no long term football plan at Spurs beyond spend enough to compete for CL places - the end

In Levy's mind, he will feel he did enough last summer in the window with all that spending and with us almost getting top 4 last season, it's not going to need much more spending to get us there.

With PSR clubs seem to be more cautious in spending money but at the same time selling clubs also looking maximise their revenues. It has always been thus but more pressure at both ends.

Werent both Newcastle and Villa both in PSR trouble, yet neither seem shy of spending still. Both will be in and around where we finish next season, theyre business could give them the edge
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah the PSR line is tosh - Newcastle are about to spend £60m on Guehi, Chelsea can’t stop spending, Villa have spent good money.

Even Everton have spent a bit.

As usual with Spurs, it’s not how much we spend but how we go about spending it. Why do we leave everything late - the Euros and Copa are bullschitt excuses, Arsenal have got Calafiori done, Solanke didn’t even go and we haven’t progressed that at all. Now Newcastle are close on Guehi.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Bed wet alert.

All this bleating that we havent bought anyone yet and you cite Newcastle nearly buying someone as an example of how they're moving and we ain't. It's pathetic.
