Afternoon Earl and all and great to be back to the MDTs!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

Well now, I’m going to start off with a convincing 3-0 … Mateo Joseph brace plus Jayden Bogle on his full debut.

Joseph and James, 2 nil comfortable win.

Yes thanks Earl for the MDT and fingers crossed we start like a house on fire and have the polar opposite first month of the season to what we had last season that proved crucial in the end to Leicester and Ipswich finishing above us....A solid 1 nil to Leeds will do me but I would like to see us start impressively and really set a marker down and get the fantastic Elland Road hot cauldron atmosphere boiling in front of the live tv audience which I shall be one of

It feels good to get to this point and say for the first time this season - Cheers Earl.

Cheers Earl & All

Has to be a win. Really hope Joseph gets off to
a good, scoring start. Otherwise Farke might
knee jerk and bench him.

I‘m starting the season with positivity and going for a
4-0 emphatic result. Fingers crossed the lads can go one better than last season.

Just seen the Blades slice up PNE. They looked very decent at this level, even though they were gifted their second goal. All the omens are that we will cruise through the opener, and for once, I am going ignore my inner Jonty and go for a confident 3-0 win. Rutter, Joseph and Piroue all to get off the mark.

Always nervous at the start of a new season, but the signs are good and we should have a brilliant season.
I hope we get the last couple of players we want and if we do and keep the ones we have we should get promotion.

4-1 or 5-1 ... feeling VERY confident

Morning all๐ŸŒž. Yep, looking forward to lunchtime now๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜.

I just wanted to add a comment about Liam Cooper. It seems with Joe Rodon now taking the number 6 shirt ( https://www.leedsunited.com/en/news/2024-25-squad-numbers-announced ) Liam Cooper has well and truly left the building. I think it is a great shame that Coops’ time at the club has ended the way it did. Whether that’s the club’s or his fault I don’t know, but as a fan who loved Coops and what he did for us, I wanted him to have got a much better send-off. Thank you Captain Coops for all you did for us. Ok, I won’t mention this again.

Play up Pompey

Back in the Championship...tough start though

Totally agree with this. Coops has been a fantastic ambassador for the club. Would have been good to give him a more fitting send off.

Morning all and hope everyone’s had a good break.

Back to the joys of Leeds United. Back to the extra grey hairs and heart rate going to 100mph

Morning everyone, was very disappointed that tlCharlie Allen was released by the club but absolutely delighted that he has returned to his boyhood club and my local team Linfield.

For anyone attending Elland Road today Old Lane is shut from the Dewsbury Road junction/Tommy Wass pub as there’s been a serious accident. I know it’s a mile or so from the round but does still get busy on match days. Avoid if possible.

I don’t think Cooper has been mistreated. Just an awkward situation in that he clearly hasnt found a new club. Had he done so much earlier, even before last season ended it would have been much easier for the club to do an official send off.

It looks to me like the club are actually being very very generous and saying if you don’t find a better offer he can stay for another year. So they can’t really do a big send off and then he ends up staying can they.

Hopefully there will be a way of giving him recognition once his future is sorted.

Cooper was offered a new deal

Cooper was brought on for a final goodbye at Norwich.

He got a good send off and the contract is there if he wants it.

Personally I think the club has treated him fine
