I can see why. Whilst De Ligt might not be a top 10 CB in the world...... Upamecano is so bad. Every time I watch him he has an absolute nightmare.

I think Solanke will do really well tbf, take the price out the equation and think he’ll work well for them with Son. Good striker imo.

Marcus scored a hat trick against UpaMeccano once at OT, says it all.

Hard to say with Solanke. He’s been pretty crap most of his career, but had a really good season last year, in one of the worst seasons for defending you’re likely to see. Hard to say whether he’s finally hit his peak or it was a purple patch against crap defending.

That's the problem you can't take the fee out of equation, it destroys players, it weighs heavily and distorts their view and what others expect from the player

Hopefully De Ligt will be a good addition. Just cant get excited about Mazraoui due to his injury history. Signing yet another injury full back beggars belief tbh...

What does that say about AWB when the club are happy to recruit an injury prone player over someone who has a good injury record but offers eff all going forwards?! Mazaraoui will hopefully impress and do more with any minutes he can spare us!
