Yes I have to say in the cold light of day that it's hard to disagree with any of your points Kebab and although I hope for all our sakes Bogle improves and I'll give him the benefit of doubt with it being his debut and nerves possibly played a part, Im more worried about Meslier's really poor record of letting shots in on target and
Farke's game management tbh which was chaotic to put it mildly but let's just imagine if Farke doesn't manage to sort it out soon who on Earth reaslisticly would Leeds be able to replace him with?..I can't think of an obvious candidate so I'm praying things improve rapidly and the owners reward all our patience with a significant show of intent with a couple of quality new signings, no more players leaving which will restore everyone's faith in what up until about half time today was a pretty optimistic outlook for the season.

Oh well, its a well known thing a blame all will give stick to anything!..

First game of the season and a draw, Donn is searching for a lover boy, hopefully you're not trying to make him happy?..

I posted about where we’re at a couple of days back. Squad clearly lesser than last season and always fobbed off about lack of doending..

Always here championship not so strong this season but it’s always strong.

Only 1 game but struggling to see how we’re going to be better abd do better than last season based on squad and todays performance.

Farkes subs are bizarre.

It’s going to be a long season folks…

I do think Farke has a few blindspots and one of those is an unquestioning stance on Meslier being his number 1. He must be approaching 200 games for us now and we are still seeing the same sort of mistakes. The odd worldly save doesn't make up for a sustained concession from shots on target ratio over a season.

posted on 10/8/24

All we heard from commentary was Pompey and their injury list - well what would the score have been if they were full strength?

posted on 10/8/24

Regardless of what Farke did, a quality goalie would´ve saved their first.
Their pen was not a pen. It started outside the box, and as such it should´ve been a free kick from there. At best.

I trust Farke. I do not trust Meslier. It´s time to bring in a goalie who hasn´t got holes in his gloves

Sorry but Meslier is a liability. Makes the sort of mistakes that would have you tearing your hair out if the keeper in your Sunday pub team made them.

Get your body behind it. Basics. Not so long back people were saying he was going to be France's number one for years. No chance.

Any thoughts on what farke was trying with the fullback swap?

Am im tenerife on family holiday, so watching in packed bar full of leeds, I didnt get the full understanding of the game๐Ÿ‘

Disappointing but surely not panic stations after one game.

The full back switch was baffling, totally agree on that. I wonder how many poor results Farke will be allowed before the 49ers start to suffer an itchy trigger finger? Should have been an absolutely nailed on winning start to the season.

All that said, we've been watching Meslier make those sort of pathetic mistakes for far longer than Farke's been here.

This club drives you mad. No wonder I love summer more with every passing year ๐Ÿคฃ

Johnny Rowe left out of the Norwich squad today, no matter how bad we are feeling, things are a lot worse there, fire sale and losing to Oxford.
We seem to be in a two horse race for Rowe's signature with Marseille especially as Rak-Sakyi appears to be on his way to Sheffield United.
Would he improve the squad or just add where we already look OK?

That was massive bad form by Rowe, telling the manager he didn't want to play ON THE DAY OF THE GAME!! That's not on.
Not sure I want a player in our squad that does that...... Charlie Taylor 2 anyone??

To be fair ,,yes. Just like Gnonto.
Only difference was that Gnonto was told no. But we could only do that cos he was on a long contract. So he had to eat humble pie. If he'd have had 1-2 years on his contract like Rowe, he'd have walked. Not good when a player does this to his supposedly 'teammates'

Gnonto, Aaronson, wober, Kristiansen, we almost have a culture of players not giving a monkeys about their club, rowe could join their club.

This sentiment is shared by quite a few of us. The lack of a win today should be sending an alarm to those who hold the power. We can't beat a wide just promoted, how the hell is this the guy to take us to the PL?

posted on 10/8/24

I’ve a hell of a lot of questions for Farke after the last 2 games. Still hurt from the final where the manager didn’t try enough. Today I’m still utterly baffled. Would hate to think come next May those 2 points he gave away have cost us promotion

Morning all๐ŸŒž.

So, I’d be daft to deny that I’ve got some doubts over the 49ers … so I won’t do that … but it is early doors so I’ll keep my powder dry atm (to, ahem, mix my metaphors).

‘Phoney9ers’ = very good btw๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜

We will do well to have the same start that we had last season which was 8 points from 5 league games.
Yesterday was a real kick in the gonads as to thinking we are going to be Champions. Yes it's just 1 game but there were some fairly stand out concerns that were a major issue late last season too and it was very disappointing the same mistakes were made again.
So we have WBA, Shef Wed Hull and Burnley up next and like I say we will do very well to get 7 points from those games and therefore we'll like last season be playing catch up.

posted on 11/8/24

I hope to God it is clickbait but there are alarming rumours that Brighton are going to push really hard to get Rutter and I'm not confident our owners would turn down a £40 million bid before the window closes and also there's still strong indications that Gnonto will attract a bid of £25 million plus and again our owners don't strike me as a group of individuals to turn down that sort of money.

If by the time the transfer window closes we have lost Rutter and Gnonto I think we'll struggle big time to get promotion whoever is brought in to replace them but hopefully this won't be the case and these are just mischievous rumours.

Phoney9ers and Farkall

^^^

Both made me laugh out loud.

I'll continue to give the 49ers the benefit for now.

Farke though, he's on thin ice for me. He needs
to get his managerial act together. As others point
out his subs are still bloody woeful.

The idea that we'd walk this league this season
in a weakened division already looks daft. We are
good enough for top 6 right now. That's about it.

We have the potential to be the top team. Or at
the least top 3 if Farke gets his act together. Still
not convinced he has the tactical know how to
overcome situation. We relied on individual skill
again yesterday to bail us out.
