Ok, the last few months of the previous season! 🤣
De Ligt also played 90 minutes in both legs of the Champions League quarter final, was injured for the first leg of the semi and played 90 minutes in the second leg.
The world is full of perfect stories that don't happen to be true. They proliferate because people are lazy, gullible, want to believe, and because some knowingly spread a lie.
My concern with De Ligt is the fact the he was dropped for Eric Dier who isn't exactly a top defender.

You should be more worried about sluuts pull considering Yoro and now Zubimendi have both rejected your club.
It is weird tbf. Even Scholes is saying it.
It’s because people/football fans are scared or reluctant to admit that they don’t know much about a player or subject, so they’d rather peddle or echo whatever snippet they’ve heard elsewhere.
Who cares. We’ve signed him so let’s judge him on how he does at the club.
It is common knowledge that Tuchel did not like Matthijs De Ligt for one reason or another, so I think it stems from them signing Dier as a result. However, circumstances - mainly poor form from Kim and Upamecano, resulted in De Ligt and Dier playing alongside each other.

A strong proportion of fans seem pretty pessed about him leaving.
He missed 20 games (80 days) last season through injury, it’s not really bad but also is a little worrying.
He definitely didn’t lose his spot to Dier like so many claim and was even seen as Bayern’s best CB by fans to the point they even petitioned to keep him and saw him as future captain material.
If injuries don’t end up being an issue (you can never tell with this club and injury record) then I think he’ll be a very useful signing.
I think Mazraoui is the bigger injury concern. Missing 331 days through injury over the past 4 seasons.

Which podcasts are you listening to? I might suggest finding some better alternatives which do at least some cursory research.
Talk of the Devils from The Athletic and (if you prefer something much lighter) the Stratford Paddock team usually get their facts right, and are both clear about where they’re delivering hard and fast info and where they’re delivering opinion.

It's a massive concern, given that he'll be expected to cover for the perennially injured Shaw. I'd have thought the minimum requirement of any player coming in to cover for an injury prone player would be to have a strong record in terms of fitness
Rumours Utd looking at Alonso for a left back stop gap.
Shame we never got Cucurella on loan (because they stupidly played him in that league cup game). He’s proven he is actually a very good player and maybe we could have got him on the cheap.
F-ck getting Alonso, what’s the ex Atleti player like we’ve been rumoured to be after?

Mazraoui takes AWB’s spot in the squad and doesn’t make any difference to the fact that we need an LB to cover for Shaw.
If the technical team don’t believe that Amass is ready to do that (and I highly doubt that they do), then we need to bring in a LB.
But unlike AwB, Mazaouri can play at LB and is far more experienced than Malacia. I don’t think Amass is near being ready to start for us which is fine because he’s not 17 years old.
I’m pretty sure the fact Mazraoui can play at LB was a big reason we bought him.
Mazaorui seems like an upgrade in terms of quality and profile fit, but definitely feels risky in terms of available options.

Everyone knows Dier played alongside the Dutch Dier and not in place of him.
