Just read this one: LUFC have interest in Danny Ings.

Final week of the window always coughs up some funny
scenarios. Saying that, he could still do a job in the
Champo if it were at all true. More than likely click bait.

Club could give him Bamford's, mont.

Does Aarons play right back and leftback as well?

Would be good to have another option, we lose a lot going forward when Byram plays.

STOP !! HAMMER TIME.......

Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer is ‘on his way’ to Leeds United late in this window.

That’s according to TransferWatch.nl, who state the midfielder has reached an agreement with Leeds for personal terms.

It’s further claimed Leeds are now negotiating a deal with Sheffield United to get this transfer over the line.

Can't see Bamford going anywhere. How would Hull City match his wages. Non-Story for me.

Hamer - what a signing!

Solomon in.

We need Hamer or Billing, and a full back as a minimum now.

Wober can be made to stay. I don’t see any links to a replacement. It’s up to him to take his chance if he gets it. Struijk will miss games this season I’m sure.

Anything on top of that would be great but not vital.

He does but as I said earlier he's right footed so you have the same issues with Byram, he has to cut inside and therefore doesn't offer the fluency in attack that Firpo does. We'd basically have three right backs and one left back with two right backs offering cover. It's a signing that personally I don't see the point of, wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't happen.

If nothing else this window, we've summed Wilder
into an absolute tizzy. He's so bent out of shape over
Bogle anyway. The approach for Hamer has pushed
the him over the edge. Imagine if we did land Hamer.
He would go nuclear. It could happen.

My Sheff U relatives are saying that their board runs
independent of Wilder. He doesn't have much sway.

Hamer in this line-up would be mental. Goals galore.

Hammer would be incredible. Would make us big favourites to win the league.

But Wilder’s reaction is more of a reason to sign him definitely.

At the moment, I would trust Debayo to put more effort in and therefore do a better job at centre back than Wober. We don't know where his head's at but there's not many that trust him, should he be made to stay under those circumstances or is he just better off the wages bill?

We can’t let him go without a replacement.

I don’t know what his mindset is but better to have him and let Farke manage it rather than no one. He’s not a bad player at all for this level. Can imagine he expects to be starting but he ain’t as good as Struijk.

Typical Leeds to sign another RB when its a LB we need?

Farke has always played Byram as a leftback
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No he hasn’t. Silly post.

Wober would be/could be a huge asset for this club.
I do rate him as a player. As a Pro, I think he's an utter
d ckhead. Feels like he thinks he's too good for us
and the Championship. I stress, 'feels like.' This injury
seems conveniently timed for this window and a move.

At this point sell him. I wouldn't loan him though. If
Gladbach have no money for a transfer, tough. Wober
can rot in the U21s and watch Struijk boss the LCB.

Hes played RB and LB for us by the way (Byram). I think thats what Light was saying. He played RB recently against Middlesbrough for a start.

Played for Farke and got up with him.

Proven at this level and knows the Farle system.

Last season our options at right back were so light we were playing a midfielder there.

To be able to have Bogle and Aaron's on the right and Firpo and Byram on the left would be a massive upgrade.

Add to that the fact that if, so when..., we do go up Firpo and Byram are out of contract, so you aren't tied down to them, and Bogle and Aaron are decent options at lower prem level so I think it makes a lot of sense both now and next season.

I also think Struijk is one of those players who you only sort of realise how good he is once he had a run of games, he can be a bit patchy when he is in and out of the side (mainly due to his injuries) give him a run and he is a solid, solid player who id saybis better than Wober anyway.

So I just don't understand why you would start wober ahead of him as you have the added caveat that wober doesn't want to be here anyway.

Farke has ‘often’ used Burn as a left back.

Firpo is used in the half space a lot rather than out wide which would be fine for Byram to cover.

In many ways Byram will find it harder to replicate what Bogle offers and maybe that’s why Aarons is being targeted? Or maybe he’s just a better option than they expected to become available and Farke loves him and will make it work.

Aarons is an excellent RB at this level. And I know
the link to Farke. We went for Aarons last season
and he 180'd on us and left for Bournemouth.

I get why he left. But, for us to now go back in for
him, when we already spent fairly big on Bogle
seems odd to me. Good. But, odd also. Or more
out of character for us to invest wisely in RB.

The LB is still a worry though. Firpo's been brilliant.
However, he gets injured. And if Byram is his LB
back-up, then that means one glass player is backed
up by another glass player. It'd be a gamble.

^^^

I don't want to start Wober. I thought based on Farke
talking Wober into staying (or so he thought) and based
on him being an Austrian International fresh off the
back of the Euros, he planned to start him. He didn't.

Struijk is and has been one of my favorite players for
a long time. When Bielsa was showing him tough love
I hoped he would keep his head up and learn. He did.

He's had his injuries. But, there's no doubt he is one
of the best CBs in this division. He's the best LCB.

Add in now that it looks like Wober wants out. Fine.
He can fck off. Pascal starts every week regardless.

Don't want to tempt fate but Firpo's injury record has been a lot better of late, every time he goes down I think here we go again but he hasn't missed a game since December last year.

Aarons makes more sense as a loan with no obligation. Let him go at the end of the season if we are promoted and sign a right back for that level. Leaving Bogle as cover.

If Wober stays he can also cover left back. It’s not impossible for Aarons/Boyle to play left back for the odd game. I mean we saw how well Bogle switched sides against Portsmouth!
